11 best mr heater baseboard heaters

Mr. Heater is a well-known brand that specializes in heating solutions, including baseboard heaters. Baseboard heaters are a type of electric heating system commonly used in homes and commercial buildings to provide efficient and consistent heating. Here's some information about Mr. Heater baseboard heaters:

  1. Design and Functionality: Mr. Heater baseboard heaters are designed to be installed along the baseboard or near the floor of a room. They typically have a low-profile, compact design that blends with the room's decor. These heaters work by heating the air near the floor, which then rises to provide even warmth throughout the space.

  2. Electric Heating: Most Mr. Heater baseboard heaters are electric, which means they rely on electrical resistance to generate heat. They are known for their silent operation and ability to distribute heat evenly without the need for a fan.

  3. Heat Output: The heat output of Mr. Heater baseboard heaters can vary depending on the model and size. They are available in different wattages to accommodate various room sizes and heating requirements. You can choose the appropriate model based on the heating needs of your space.

  4. Thermostat Control: Many Mr. Heater baseboard heaters come with built-in thermostats or are compatible with external thermostats. Thermostatic control allows you to set and maintain your desired room temperature, providing energy-efficient heating by turning the heater on and off as needed.

  5. Safety Features: Mr. Heater baseboard heaters often include safety features such as overheat protection and tip-over switches. These safety mechanisms are designed to shut off the heater if it becomes too hot or if it's accidentally knocked over, reducing the risk of fire hazards.

  6. Installation: Installing Mr. Heater baseboard heaters typically involves mounting them to the wall or baseboard and connecting them to an electrical circuit. It's important to follow the manufacturer's installation instructions and safety guidelines for proper setup.

  7. Energy Efficiency: Electric baseboard heaters are generally considered efficient because they can be zoned to heat specific rooms or areas, reducing overall energy consumption. Additionally, their silent operation makes them a popular choice for bedrooms and quiet spaces.

  8. Maintenance: Mr. Heater baseboard heaters are relatively low-maintenance. Regular cleaning and occasional dusting of the heating element can help maintain their efficiency.

  9. Size and Style Options: Mr. Heater offers a range of baseboard heater models with different lengths and designs to fit various room layouts and aesthetics.

In summary, Mr. Heater baseboard heaters are a reliable and efficient heating solution for residential and commercial spaces. They offer customizable heating options with safety features and are designed for ease of installation and use.

User questions & answers

Question: Can I store the smaller, 1lb propane tanks on my terrace porch, possibly in a box, overall? in cold winters and hot summers
Answer: For maximum safety, my recommendation is to store propane containers in a weather protected location, such as garage or shed with some natural ventilation. Propane is a highly flammable liquified petroleum gas that vaporizes and expands many-fold very quickly if released to atmospheric pressure, and will form a highly explosive mixture if released in a confined space without outside ventilation. If then ignited by a small spark such as a light switch, the resulting explosion may be catastrophic. There are on-line photos of boats that have exploded from propane leaks in the confined space of a boat cabin with catastrophic results including death of occupants. The cabin top and sides have literally been blown to pieces in such cases. New, sealed bottles of 1 lb size are reasonably safe, but once opened or partly used it is best to store away from occupied spaces. Although the probability is low, the consequences of failure are unacceptable. 20 lb propane containers should never be stored indoors. Play it extra safe and store propane bottles in a garage or outdoor shed. BJG (PE, ichemical engineer, inactive, retired)
Question: can i hook a large propane tank to his
Answer: Yes, any size propane tank can be a source for it when plumbed correctly. The simplest way to go is using the F273704 hose directly off most tanks. That hose needs nothing else and goes direct from the tank to the heater. This model heater only accepts high pressure gas thru the "disposable tank" connection, so other hoses with that connection can be used as well as the "filter" F273699. The "filter" is to take out oils coming from most rubbers in hoses where the high pressure "squeezes" the oil out, but the 704 hose is made "oil-free" to avoid that issue. FYI I tried running this off a regulated low pressure source, but with it on "high" the glow was like "low" setting normally (showing a lack of gas coming thru). So if you have a low pressure source, the "Big Buddy" models have a connection point for such thru a quick disconnect using hoses like F271802 or F271803, but not this model (this one needs high pressure gas to get enough thru it's disposable tank port).
Question: How long with the heater run on low with a propane small cannister
Answer: Best guess is 4-5 hours on low. I sat in a hunting blind for 2.5 hours and the 1lb propane canister was about half empty.
Question: Does anyone know or understand how is it this type of propane heater can be used indoors without causing carbon dioxide poisoning
Answer: As soon as the weather gets cold, I put my Big Buddy Heater on a stand & use a Mr. Heater 12' hose with regulator running to a 20lb. tank in living room. I use the hose with the low pressure regulator on it & hook it up to the quick connect fitting. I have 2 20lb tanks in mint condition, and rotate them as needed. This will be my 7th winter using it. Old windows & doors let air in and I have a carbon monoxide alarm near by. Also use a leak detector to check all connections after hooking up a full tank. If it's really cold, I'll start it on high for a short time, then run it on medium & it keeps living & dining room warm. Cuts my oil bill down greatly.

User questions & answers

Question: if it has a thermostat, what temperature is it shutting off? I have a different fire place with a 73 degree shut off manufacturing setting, not enought
Answer: I asked the manufacturer for the thermostate info. It has a knob on top from 1-5. 1-60.8°f 2-75.2°f 3-89.6°f 4-104°f 5-118.4°f He also said that they could vary slightly from heater to heater.
Question: I don't see a pic or anything that shows where/how the fan mounts. Does anyone know
Answer: The fan will mount on the back of the heater. There is a punch out that will be removed and the fan will go in it's place.
Question: Would this heater work in a 2 car garage
Answer: In short yes. we have this on the first floor of our house. it is not yet winter, but this is a 30,000 BTU heater; it heats the entire house fast - like 20 mins upstairs and down. I would say the same for a two car garage. I plan on moving this unit to the basement shop which is exposed to ground level in the back and unheated; basically a 1 car garage back there and I expect this to out perform. I will add one thing: this is the blue flame unit. I have had shop heaters before and prefer the radiant heaters (of which Mr Heater makes one just like this) - they have the clay looking elements in them that glow red/orange; those heaters will heat things in the space and then those items give off the heat. I used to aim one at my roll away tool box. in an area where you might have a lot of space up above, such as a loft the radiant version of this heater may be better as it will heat the items it is near with less heated air floating up. either way, this is a safe bet.
Question: Does the mhvfb30ngt unit have an automatic igniter to maintain temperature or do you to to push an igniter switch to start it each time
Answer: It has a pilot lit that will stay lit at all times, unless you turn the dial to the Off position. The heater will start up when the thermostat dial settings determines that it's time to turn the heater on.
Question: I stripped the threads on the heater, how can i fix this
Answer: You can tap it out if you have a tap and die set, otherwise you will have to order new parts
Question: Want 30000 Btu radiant heater with blower
Answer: The 30000 BTU heater will be the model number MHVFRD30LPT. Click on link provided to view the heater. https://www.amazon.com/Mr-Heater-Corporation-Radiant-MHVFRD30LPT/dp/B01DPZ56KU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1514918538&sr=8-1&keywords=MHVFRD30LPT
Question: Will this work with a 20 pound tank
Answer: Yes, but you will need to add a regulator between the heater and the 20 pound tank for safety
Question: So, it has no thermostat but output is variable? How does this work
Answer: It does NOT have a thermostat, settings are either high or low. It will NOT turn on and off on it's own when reaching certain temperatures, it even says its NOT thermostat controlled in the manual.

Radiant Vent Free Heaters

Our Vent Free heaters need no external power, great for power outages and applications with no electricity. They can be mounted to the wall with the supplied bracket or on the floor with the supplied feet.

Most common uses are rooms that don’t warm well so you can adjust the temperature level in them without having to affect the rest of the home.

There are two types of vent free heaters, blue flame (or convection heat) and Infrared (or radiant heat). The difference in these types of heat are how the warm.

The Infrared heater warms objects. It doesn’t warm the air like a Blue Flame. It can be put in an area with objects which the heater will heat and then the object will heat the air. Blue Flame warms the air, infrared warms objects, which heat the air.

Note: Units cannot be converted from Propane to Natural Gas and vice versa. They are not designed to be a primary source of heat, as they are designed to work with a furnace.

User questions & answers

Question: Can this unit be installed through a cut out in the celing so it points down towards the floor while having the majority of the unit in the attic
Answer: Highly unlikely. The louvers on the front that direct air flow have maybe 45 degrees of downward angle. This just seems like a bad idea
Question: does it smell when running
Answer: not after initial burn period .Very quiet compared to my last heater ,does not smell .
Question: Can it run on a propane tank for a gas grill
Answer: This heater can run on a gas grill propane tank. Make sure the propane conversation kit has been installed and then you'll need to use a grill hose that has the regulator on it. Then you'll have to change the fitting after the regulator.
Question: One description says heats 700 sq ft another says 1250. Which is it
Answer: It heats my 900 sq. ft garage nicely.

Heat Storm Deluxe Mounted Space Infrared Wall Heater, White

Heat Storm

Product description

We're proud to introduce the worlds first quartz infrared wall space heater. Within just a few minutes of arrival you can have this sleek profile wall heater up and running. It is the perfect solution for bedrooms and offices, or any room where there isn't much floor space. It is designed to allow for other electrical devices on the same circuit without tripping your breaker. This heater incorporates our patented HMS technology for the most efficient heat output. A great benefit of infrared heat is that is heats up objects in the room instead of just heating up the air. This means that once the room heats up, its much easier to maintain the heat because the surrounding objects like walls and other objects will then radiate the heat back into the room kind of like the warm sunlight coming through a window. Another reason people have been really excited is that our heaters are safe to touch (even on the grill! ). This makes our heaters awesome for families with kids and pets. Even If they get curious and touch the grill, their hands are not going to get burned. Each of our heaters are ETL listed meaning that they are tested by ETL to the same standards as UL and their certification has the same recognition by OHSA since they are both Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories. "The ETL, Edison Testing Laboratories, Listed Mark is proof of product compliance (electrical, gas and other safety standards)" It also has built in overheat protection. This means that if an obstruction covers the grill and the inside temperature gets too hot, it automatically shuts off power to the unit. A great benefit of wall mounting is that not only does it take up less space, it also prevents accidents or hazards associated with space heaters. This is a great heater for the price! We have made many improvements over the years and continue to develop products to keep you warm this winter! Digital Thermostat: Our digital touch screen thermostat makes it easy to read the current temp and easy to make adjustments to the desired room temperature. Power Outage Settings recall: Our heaters are more reliable because of our power outage settings recall. This is extremely important for remote locations such as rooms that need the pipes from freezing. Lifetime Air Filter: Larger Dust and dander particles get captured in our lifetime filters. Just remove, wash, and re-install for better quality of air in your home. Safe Touch Grill: Our grill is safe for kids and pets. that’s because its made out of material that absorbs heat instead of transfers it (unlike metal grills that sear skin)

  • EFFECTIVE HEAT - Our infrared space heaters warm objects instead of just the air! This will help your room stay warm even after the heater turns off.
  • SAFE TOUCH GRILL - That’s because our grills are made out of material that doesn’t burn skin. Our heaters also automatically shut off power if it tips over.
  • MODERN DESIGN - wall mount design means you don't lose floor space. Perfect for bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchens, offices and more
  • ADJUSTABLE THERMOSTAT - LED display shows you what the ambient temperature is and helps regulate the temperature efficiently. (goes to dark mode after 5 minutes of no activity) Included remote control allows you to control the temperature with ease
  • COMPACT - Uses less than 2 square feet of wall space and plugs into a normal 110v outlet. When installed over the outlet, you can hide the cord behind the heater.
  • This heater comes with a 1 year manufacturer

User questions & answers

Question: How many units can be plugged in before breaker trips
Answer: Yes, this listing includes a lineguard kit and an IR wireless thermostat.
Question: Where does the cord come out? Bottom, back or side
Answer: I would think the 18k would be sufficient, since typically it can cover 750-850 sq ft on a traditionally insulated home.
Question: Can this replace a regular wall heater? The room is about 400 sq. ft
Answer: On average, the 12k can cover approx. 500 sq ft with an avg of 8 ft ceilings. It MIGHT be able to handle that space, but the 18k might do a better job.
Question: dimensions and what power supply
Answer: The warranty covers the cost of parts only.

This natural convection heater will take longer to warm the room but it circulates warm air silently with no fan noise. Neutral color and low-profile blends easily with any decor; digital display with thermostat and timer; adjustable thermostat (60 to 85 degrees F); Auto-off timer (1 to 8 hours); built-in safety features: tip-over safety switch, automatic overheat protection; 1500 watts of comforting warmth; lightweight with carry handles for portability; ETL listed. Convection heaters naturally provide gradual, even heat without a fan, making them more quiet than electric heaters with fans. As the air near the heater is warmed and rises it creates a natural circulation of the air which spreads warmth throughout the room. It may take longer to heat a space with convection heat than with an electric heater with a fan, but once the space is warmed it will sustain even heat. To reduce the risk of electrical shock and fire please observe the following instructions: - Cleaning the Heater regularly will help to maintain its efficiency. - Always unplug the cord before moving, servicing or cleaning. - NEVER place the Heater in or near water. DO NOT IMMERSE HEATER IN WATER. - Clean the Heater only with a vacuum equipped with a brush attachment; the vacuum will remove the lint and dirt from the surface of the Heater. - Vacuum intake grills every two weeks; this will help to maintain the optimum Heater performance. - Use a toothbrush or other soft bristle brush to gently loosen any dirt not removed by the vacuum. - NEVER attempt to take apart the Heater. • Please note that this heater's convection heat will heat the room evenly without fan noise but because convection heat circulates heat more slowly, it will take longer to heat the room than a heater with a fan.

User questions & answers

Question: Can you HANG this from something
Answer: YES you can hang this heater. It's been done. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZsVX6mh8O4
Question: Does anybody have trouble lighting this heater? Seems I need to hold the ignition button in for a minute and it really hurts my thumb
Answer: Hey Spike, I agree with Thomas W. Mine wouldn't start on the first try either. You have to hold the ignition button down, wait a few seconds, then depress again. It's kind of a pain, but it works. A more annoying issue for me was wanting to use it in my golf cart, but with every tiny bump, the safety feature kicked in and off it went. So, it is safer for home use. For the cart, I bought the Coleman Catalytic Heater with the special holder that fits in the cup holders. It's more quiet too. Stay warm!
Question: With an adapter hose can it be used with a large propane cylinder
Answer: Not a problem. Make a 10"x10" box. Nail 2x6 together in the shape of a U. Then put 3/8" inch plywood on top and bottom (3/8" a must on top). Then make a 2 1/4" hole in the center of the top plywood. Next screw the main heater assembly into the filter with the top plywood in between (the two should come together snug leaving a very small separation which will allow the heater to rotate with no chance of a leak but still be secure). Then attach the hose and tank. This box allows for a large tank to be attached, the heater can rotate and the tipsy problem is gone.. Just remember to turn off the tank first to burn up the gas in the line before turning off the heater.
Question: Has anyone used it tent camping? I'm afraid of fire and fumes, but the cub scouts insist in camping in sub freezing temps
Answer: I used it last summer (2017), at night We went to bed late around 1:00 am, and usually by 5:00 am the 1lb tank is already empty and it's went the temp is the lowest, I spent about a tank per night, kept our 8 person tent warm, we have ventilation at the top and all the heat went up but I rather have ventilation that non at all, I'll probably wake up at 5 and replace the propane tank. We camped I bigbear, CA and it was cold at night, I might try an electric heater plugged into my Honda but still you have Carbon monoxide coming from the generator.
