In all loving kindness, if you don't understand that this is a 220-240 volt appliance and not the 110-120 volt appliance, then you wouldn't have the expertise to install this yourself. 110-120 volt circuits are what you normally plug your toaster, computer, TV, hair dryer, etc. into, that is, your standard wall plug. 220-240 volt plugs use heavy duty wires and plugs and are used for clothes dryers and kitchen stove/range/ovens. Usually water heaters and baseboard heaters are "hard-wired", that is, bypassing any plug-in and being permanently wired into the 220-240 circuit. You must also have a 220-240 volt circuit breaker in your electrical service box and a 220-240 volt circuit wired to the room you wish to have your heater installed - unless you are replacing a previous 220-240 volt heater. Putting in that type of circuit, stringing the wire from your service box to the room, would be a major task and expense, and require a permit from the local building authority as well as a certified electrician to do the work.

Answer:	No, this unit was not designed to be hard wired. It has a suitable electrical cord with a plug on it, intended to be plugged into a 20 amp wall outlet. Dual wattage means it has a high and a low heat output, which is controlled by a switch that comes on the unit.
Question:	Is there any sort of safety screen for this? I'd be concerned about small things falling into it, or children pushing small toys into it
Answer:	There is no safety screen at all on this heater. You may be able to attach a heat resistant mesh on the outside of the heater for little hands/small things not to find their way into the heater. The heating element does sit way back and inferiorly on the heater but without the screen it is pretty easy for curious hands to find their way into it. Hope this helps.

Answer:	I have my units on 20 amp lines, one on each of two (2) lines. I 'think' they are right around 1500 watts but I have NOT verified this. They have worked very well for me. Their thermostats are not "fine tuned" but are OK. I use a separate thermostat that controls them very close to my settings.

Answer:	I’ve used this unit for years. I’m actually on my fourth (that’s about 13 years) for a 12 x 15 room. Quiet and efficient. I have only used it with the legs. It does get pretty warm. I don’t think I’d use it without some air underneath. That’s just me and Chicago winters. Good luck - be careful.

Answer:	The air intake and exhaust would not be blocked, but the power cord would be bent at 90 degrees where it's affixed to the unit. It's definitely not intended for use on its back.

Question:	I returned you product to a local Kohls and i received an email today that the product was never received. Can you give me some info on this please

Question:	What size room with minimal insulation will this heat
Answer:	You may use an extension cord that is designed to handle 15 amps. This cord can pull up to 12 amps. A good appliance style, one outlet 3 prong 12 gauge cord will handle this. Do not plug anything else into this cord. Always use the shortest length extension cord possible. IE Don't use a 25' extension cord for this 8 foot run. A six foot 12 g. 3 prong would be all that is needed.
Question:	do all the cadet thermostat come with a wiring diagram
Answer:	my experience is a 300 to 500 sq ft. but it also depends on how high the ceilings are. This is great heater, but dont expect it to be quick heating. Takes about 15 minutes for the room to heat up.
Question:	Does this unit have any sort of control? thermostat? on-off switch? high-low control
Answer:	there is a control, you can set so that it keeps the area heated but it 1000w all the time turn it down it comes on less.

Answer:	it should. it says works with all 2500 series heaters and 2548 is mentioned in another answered question. That said, i do not know what the C on the end stands for.
Question:	Does anybody know the difference between this 5622 model and the other 5620 and 5624 models
Answer:	It will work with the 2512W but a better choice may be the TA1AW single pole for 120v

Question:	Where do i go to read the stated 250 reviews on the unit? looks like the only reviews are on the filters. or am i loosing my mind. : ) thanks
Answer:	Don't lose your mind. I have bought up to 5 of these units over a few years. They are very good units. I would like to find some more, box store lobbyist are bringing in different brands. I have one at each end of my house, use the one in my bedroom almost 24/7. The oldest one is about 6-7 yo, still running but beginning to stress a little. However, I have washed it out with a water hose a couple of times. Compressed air maybe. We have a lot of dust. Filters for allergens are available, occasionally i cover intake with charcoal filter, got some for my kids houses -she has a dog, mainly used bedroom, blows a cool breeze also. You'll like it, last one was around $80 i think.
Question:	Received my purchase in november 2014 and the machine seems to have stopped running as of june 2015. blue light still comes on. did it die already
Answer:	I also purchased the Holmes product. My didn't die but started a clicking noise within 2 weeks. I called Holmes and they sent me a replacement at their expense. Their customer service is great. I would call them with your issue.
Question:	How often are the filters suggested to be replaced
Answer:	Amy, I don't have the instructions anymore, but I think it depends on how dirty the air is. I used mine quite a while before cleaning them. You can remove the filters and wash them under running water, so they last a long time. It would be up to you if and when you wanted to buy replacement filters. I never had any problems with opening the side of the machine to remove or put back the filters.
Question:	does it take care of cig. smoke
Answer:	I hear you...I wish it took care of cig smoke. This air filter does not take odor out of the air. But it does help you breathe better.
