Answer:	For maximum safety, my recommendation is to store propane containers in a weather protected location, such as garage or shed with some natural ventilation. Propane is a highly flammable liquified petroleum gas that vaporizes and expands many-fold very quickly if released to atmospheric pressure, and will form a highly explosive mixture if released in a confined space without outside ventilation. If then ignited by a small spark such as a light switch, the resulting explosion may be catastrophic. There are on-line photos of boats that have exploded from propane leaks in the confined space of a boat cabin with catastrophic results including death of occupants. The cabin top and sides have literally been blown to pieces in such cases. New, sealed bottles of 1 lb size are reasonably safe, but once opened or partly used it is best to store away from occupied spaces. Although the probability is low, the consequences of failure are unacceptable. 20 lb propane containers should never be stored indoors. Question:	can i hook a large propane tank to his
Answer:	Yes, any size propane tank can be a source for it when plumbed correctly. The simplest way to go is using the F273704 hose directly off most tanks. That hose needs nothing else and goes direct from the tank to the heater. This model heater only accepts high pressure gas thru the "disposable tank" connection, so other hoses with that connection can be used as well as the "filter" F273699. The "filter" is to take out oils coming from most rubbers in hoses where the high pressure "squeezes" the oil out, but the 704 hose is made "oil-free" to avoid that issue. FYI I tried running this off a regulated low pressure source, but with it on "high" the glow was like "low" setting normally (showing a lack of gas coming thru). So if you have a low pressure source, the "Big Buddy" models have a connection point for such thru a quick disconnect using hoses like F271802 or F271803, but not this model (this one needs high pressure gas to get enough thru it's disposable tank port).

Answer:	Best guess is 4-5 hours on low. I sat in a hunting blind for 2.5 hours and the 1lb propane canister was about half empty.

Answer:	As soon as the weather gets cold, I put my Big Buddy Heater on a stand & use a Mr. Heater 12' hose with regulator running to a 20lb. tank in living room. I use the hose with the low pressure regulator on it & hook it up to the quick connect fitting. I have 2 20lb tanks in mint condition, and rotate them as needed. This will be my 7th winter using it. Old windows & doors let air in and I have a carbon monoxide alarm near by. Also use a leak detector to check all connections after hooking up a full tank. If it's really cold, I'll start it on high for a short time, then run it on medium & it keeps living & dining room warm. Cuts my oil bill down greatly.

Answer:	Sinks have aerators to slow down the water where a tub doesn't. It sounds like one possibility is that your exceeding the GPM for this heater. Next possibility, double check an measure your actually getting at least 240v at the heater, I had an issue where my unit was only getting 235v an it was causing a similar issue where only one of the two heating elements was activating. I had it set to 125F but it was coming out 100F. It was warm and without a meter I would of thought it was working correctly until I tried filling a tub. It couldn't even get the water warm. I pulled my wires out an restripped an cut an screwed them in an it fixed my problem, now its measuring around 245v. Make sure there is no copper showing after screwing down your input wires. Now filling the tub I noticed after about 10-15 seconds the water gets too hot to touch. I set it to 135F.

Answer:	For propane or natural gas? If you're putting in a new propane tank yourself, then you will have to install one. If you have natural gas, the regulator should already be out by the meter. And if you ALREADY have propane, the regulator is probably outside right where the propane line comes into the house. So, if you're unsure, just check with your supplier or utility company.

Answer:	Hold up there, previous answer, not so fast. It is true that you should not have both the hot water heater and furnace venting directly into the flue, combining the exhaust. However, some people see their vent pipes entering the flue (or chimney wall) and assume they are both releasing the fumes inside the chimney. In some cases, the venting pipes continue separately up the flue. Joseph, if you have two vent pipes entering your flue, there is a chance that both pipes continue separately up the flue and out the top. If that is the case, you may be able to use the existing hot water vent system. When you look at the top of your chimney, do you see two terminations coming out?
Question:	How does very cold intake water affect performance
Answer:	Sorry to contradict but the temperature of the water going into the water heater will definitely have an effect on the temperature of the water coming out. the water heater needs to provide enough BTUs to heat the volume of water that you need to the water temperature that you want. If the water starts off at a lower temperature it will take more BTUs to get it to the temperature you want. This unit claims to be able to provide 6.6 gallons of hot water per minute but that assumes the water is startling an average temperature. If you have a modern shower head it will only use about 2.5 GPM but if you have second shower going, a hot water faucet open or a clothes washer filling at the same time you will run out of capacity quickly. Rinnai should have tables on their website that shows the ability of the unit to heat water at a variety of starting temperatures to a range of hot water temperatures at a given flow rate.

Answer:	It looks great, and we have used it. Unfortunately, it doesn't put off much heat, and we don't have very cold winters. It will be perfect for early fall weather. I am going to buy the standing patio heaters next fall to help with the colder weather.

Answer:	Not recommended to use as cooking stove. Flame path is to wide and varied to be safe. It is aesthetic beauty with some warmth.

Answer:	I don’t think it’s intended to be used for heat, mine is the same way.
Question:	Are the heat settings only 75M and 200M BTU's or can this heater be adjusted between those two extremes
Answer:	The tile around is 7 inches. Not to hot to touch. I wouldn’t leave a glass on it for very long. We had a plastic cup start to melt after sitting there a few minutes.

Answer:	A one pound bottle on medium setting will last about 1-1/2 hour so figure at least 25 hrs for a 20 pounder.

Answer:	I am sure it will. I use mine in a moving golf cart with a cover on it, and it works great. You need some ventilation though. The box deer stand shouldn't be airtight.

Answer:	I have different model from Texsport. On mine the instructions say to turn the heat to high while holding in the red button. It would probably work on a lower setting, but would take longer to warm the bulb.

Answer:	On top of the burner for cooking or covering? Or on all four sides of the burning unit as a "wind guard"? I would not recommend putting any type of glass over the top of the burning unit or using it for any type of cooking except for marshmallows. However, if you are talking about a "wind guard" (made from tempered glass) then, yes it could help as I have found that the flames tend to jump around a bit from the wind. To fit inside the lip you will need one a bit smaller than the opening (11.5 X 11.5). The smallest I have seen is a 14" X 14" one and it's a bit pricey. Answer:	Highly unlikely. The louvers on the front that direct air flow have maybe 45 degrees of downward angle. This just seems like a bad idea

Answer:	This heater can run on a gas grill propane tank. Make sure the propane conversation kit has been installed and then you'll need to use a grill hose that has the regulator on it. Then you'll have to change the fitting after the regulator.
Question:	One description says heats 700 sq ft another says 1250. Which is it
Answer:	It heats my 900 sq. ft garage nicely.
