Answer:	The cover is fine in the wind. You do need to secure the heater with the cover to something that will prevent it from falling over. I use my fence poll and a single string. Work well for me.

A couple of concerns though: With our recent winds, the fabric acted like a wall and the winds knocked the heater over. The fabric is thin enough and the edges of the stainless steel is sharp enough that the fabric was slashed in several places.
