Question:	I would like to know why these filters are made smaller than advertised, so the unfiltered air could get passed the filter
Answer:	In fact some type of Furnace use the smaller 20X25X4 filter, I was happened got such type of carrier' furnace, I went to Homedepot and bought the standard size 25x20x4 and found the filter was bigger than the slot and can't be inserted. So you must be careful and check the real size of the filter, do not think 25x20x4 are all same size. They are NOT!

If you ordered a MERV different than 12, you ought to have a colored sticker on the seal of the box, as follows: MERV 7 - gray MERV 8 - purple MERV 10 - yellow MERV 11 - rose MERV 12 – blue (most common MERV; often has no sticker) MERV 13 - green MERV 14 - teal 15 – orange Our production facility in Alabama shrink wraps all the filters prior to shipping and boxing the filters. Answer:	Due to the design of it, the lock bar most likely won't snap in place if anything is placed between the filter and the case. Some saw dust is normal. It's a design flaw unfortunately. Honestly haven't had any running issues from the way it is set up.

Answer:	I don't know what the demoralization cartridge 7531 is. My Boneco humidifier is an older one and the filter I used for it had to be replaced every month of so. This filter costs less and lasts much longer - mine was good for the entire winter.

Most standard air filters are 1 - 2 inches in thickness. Whereas media filters are typically 3 to 5 inches in thickness. The best way to measure your air filter size is to get out the measuring tape and measure it directly. Also your current filter probably has the dimensions printed on the frame.

Answer:	All I can say for sure is 19 3/4X24 1/4 X 5 7/8. Seems to fit fine though listed as 20 X 25X 6. I did not need to use plastic spikes either. Easy to install but wondering now if better filter will last longer and/ or work better with spikes.

Answer:	Just installed one about a month ago. Much easier to install, but I don't think they're quite as good of quality. The pleats are further apart and I suspect will not last as long at the ones that need to be separated and put between the plastic "spikes". However, just had to have a new furnace (Bryant) installed last week, and the heating contractor who put it in says this is what he uses.
Question:	do you still use the slide out case to put this in? you just don't need the combs? i see this is a merv 8 isn't 11 better
Answer:	Yes...you put the filter inside the case. I had to partially disassemble my case to get it in. I don't know if an 11 is better than an 8. Sorry.
