I heard only HEPA will filter the low micron asbestos in air. I work mainly on 1920-1970s homes and often have to go to jobsites where people are sanding or removing demolition etc. |

| Answer: | AFB silver Merv 8 is the mfg. (Air Filter Buy), Silver Merv 8 is the rating. Microparticle Performance Rating, or MPR for short, is a filter rating system developed by 3M to rate a filters ability to capture the smallest airborne particles. The higher the MPR rating the better the filters ability to capture particles from the air. This system helps in comparing 3M filters, but is not directly comparable to the MERV rating system. With merv 8 you should use mpr 600. |
