Answer:	Any increase in "merv" rating reduces the air flow. HVAC systems have a tolerance level. You should work within that level. You have to gage via technical measurement or manufacturer specifications. Everything is a compromise. More filtration is less flow. No filtration highest flow. Choose your poison and gauge your cost benefit. You want lots of dirty air or just enough clean filtered air.

Answer:	That is the actual size but I recommend buying form a different seller. I ordered Two weeks ago and they sent the to the wrong city. Incompetent seller.

Answer:	Yes it can but its kind of taking away it's purpose. The filter in a air conditioning unit is used to do mainly two things clean/filter the air for the house and to remove particulates "dirt, dust, hair, etc." that can pile up in the evaporator coil cause it to block airflow. This results in overtime poor humity control in the house, freezing of the evap coil, and ultimately compressor failure. I high recomend this filter to many of my customers, just confirm your airflow you might just have worded that wrong.

Answer:	The indivual filters have a sticker label on an end marked with size- I bought 14x28(hard to find) and on that label is also printed MERV 8. The filter seems fine. The higher the rating the more particles the filter will trap- I researched and Merv 8 is fine for a household. There is no brand label and I do not know if this is a professional label sticker- it is covering up the print on the filter that has the size in dark ink- no rating though that I can see under the label! Not sure if the plastic the 4 filters were sealed in had the large blue label that is shown in the pic. I will buy these again, they work for me.
