Answer:	I am not sure I fully understand your question. When it comes to merv rating you need to balance your filter needs/wants vs efficiency. The higher the merv the smaller the particles filtered, but the higher your power use as your air handler has to work harder to pull through the finer filter. According to the USGBC LEED standards, a minimum of merv 13 must be used for all recirculated air.Merv 6 = 300 mprMerv 8 = 600 mprMerv 11 = 1000-1200 mpr (this filter)Merv 13 = 1500-1900 mpr.I chose this filter because it seemed like a reasonable compromise of filtration, efficiency and cost.I hope this helps. :)

Answer:	This product is nothing more than hardware to connect a second barrel on top of a barrel stove! I would guess if you are an extremely adventurous person you could fuel these barrels with anything at all and take their chances. It does not come with an igniter and the only fuel I would put into the contraption is wood which seems to work well for me.

MERV Rating

About Honeywell

Honeywell's roots reach to 1885, when an inventor named Albert Butz patented the furnace regulator and alarm. He formed the Butz Thermo-Electric Regulator Co., Minneapolis, in April, 1886, and soon invented a device he called the "damper flapper” – an ingenious predecessor to the modern thermostat.

Here's how it worked. When a room cooled below a predetermined temperature, a thermostat closed the circuit and energized an armature. This pulled the stop from the motor gears, allowing a crank attached to the main motor shaft to turn one-half revolution. A chain connected to the crank opened the furnace's air damper to let in air. Answer:	If my memory serves me, MERV is a measurement of filtering capacity, and as the number goes up the filter takes out more pollen, etc. As the MERV goes up, so does the price but it may be worth it to those with severe allergy's. I use MERV 8. I would think that a MERV 10 offers filtering almost comparable to MERV 11. The MERV number has nothing to do with filter size.

Answer:	Yes, Lennox changed most of their merv 10 filters to merv 11's. They are the same.

Answer:	The x6673 will work if the air cleaner part number is hcf20-16. I couldn't find an hcf20-11.
Question:	Do the filters expire? Considering to order a 10 pack because it's 25% cheaper per filter. Will they be good if I use them over the next 5 years
Answer:	No they will work in other systems but the are 4.375" thick and may not fit if you are using a 1" filter.. The exact size of these is 19.75" x 24.75" x 4.375". Filters are interchangeable as long as they are the exact same size.

Nordic Pure MERV 12 Pleated AC Furnace Air Filters provide exceptional filtration for both home and commercial environments. Each time air passes through a Nordic Pure pleated furnace air filter, lint, dust, pollen, bacteria, pet dander, dust mites, mold spores, smoke particles, virus carriers, allergens and other contaminants are removed. MERV 12 furnace filters are comparable to HVAC filters with the rating of MPR 1500-1900 or FPR 9. While different companies use different scales to measure the air filter’s efficiency, Nordic Pure chose to follow the industry standard, MERV, as developed by ASHRAE (the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioner Engineers). No matter the name of the rating, the efficiency of all air filters is rated according to the same criteria as set forth by ASHRAE. Nordic Pure furnace air conditioner filters are manufactured using a heavy duty, moisture resistant beverage board frame. As with all Nordic Pure furnace air conditioner filters, the material is electrostatically charged to attract unwanted particles. The media used will not promote the growth of bacteria or mold on the air filter and is better at trapping airborne particles than fiberglass filters. IMPORTANT NOTE: Almost ALL filters are a fraction of an inch smaller than the nominal size printed on the filter. It is best if you measure your filter for the EXACT size and compare it to our "Actual Size" listed above. With the 4-Inch and 5-Inch filters there are many different exact sizes for the different HVAC manufacturers. Because of this, your filter may say 20x25x4 on it but really be the same as our 20x25x5. This is why we ask you to measure your filter so you aren't surprised if the filter doesn't fit! You may also want to look at our Honeywell replacement 20x25x5 filter. Just check the "Actual Size" before ordering. Changing your air filter is the first step in insuring your HVAC system runs at its optimal level this season. Question:	Title of page says Merv 15, but description say says Merv 12, seems shady
Answer:	Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We are in the process of updating our descriptions and this will be corrected. This furnace filter is a MERV 15 Plus Carbon, box of 2. We appreciate your business!
Question:	I would like to know why these filters are made smaller than advertised, so the unfiltered air could get passed the filter
Answer:	In fact some type of Furnace use the smaller 20X25X4 filter, I was happened got such type of carrier' furnace, I went to Homedepot and bought the standard size 25x20x4 and found the filter was bigger than the slot and can't be inserted. So you must be careful and check the real size of the filter, do not think 25x20x4 are all same size. They are NOT!
Question:	Received 2 filters in plastic wrap with no markings of actual merv count. how do i know this correct filter i paid for
Answer:	In our factory, we hand assemble all of our air filters, using only one MERV filter media at a time. If we are assembling MERV 12, then only MERV 12 are boxed and marked as MERV 12. The same goes for all of our other MERVs. If you ordered a MERV different than 12, you ought to have a colored sticker on the seal of the box, as follows: MERV 7 - gray MERV 8 - purple MERV 10 - yellow MERV 11 - rose MERV 12 – blue (most common MERV; often has no sticker) MERV 13 - green MERV 14 - teal 15 – orange Our production facility in Alabama shrink wraps all the filters prior to shipping and boxing the filters. They will sometimes have a product insert inside the shrink wrap. Our production facility in Oklahoma does not shrink wrap yet. On our Nordic Pure blue & white boxes, you should have the MERV rating label located on the side of the box above the shipping label. Our clean, white templates, or outer cardboard frames, are kept non-specific to save on manufacturing cost. That’s why they are not stamped or labeled individually.

Question:	i recently got these mpr1000 filters now i hear near the air vents like im guessing dust move around not sure if its normal
Answer:	Due to the design of it, the lock bar most likely won't snap in place if anything is placed between the filter and the case. Some saw dust is normal. It's a design flaw unfortunately. Honestly haven't had any running issues from the way it is set up.
Question:	Does this filter contain fiber glass
Answer:	Cold tap water. Don't use hot water in your humidifier. Some people use distilled water, but that's an expensive proposition if you're running the humidifier all day or all night long.
Question:	are these filters a true 16x20? I have run across some that are fifteen and three quartes by 19 and three quarters and they will not stay seated an

Answer:	I don't know what the demoralization cartridge 7531 is. My Boneco humidifier is an older one and the filter I used for it had to be replaced every month of so. This filter costs less and lasts much longer - mine was good for the entire winter.
