Answer:	According to my booklets both the Filtrete 3M-30 and 3M-50 have ports for wi-fi modules. The modules may or may not be included in the purchase, although I think the 3M-50 did have the wi-fi unit included.

Answer:	If you're talking about the panel to get to the batteries, it is the same as the top panel, clip in. Other than that there isn't another panel.

Answer:	the swing setting can be selected up to 2 degrees so if you set your heat at 68 and you have it set at 2 your furnace will not kick on until the the thermostat reads 66. This is a nice feature so your furnace is not turning on every 10 min and is more efficient. Yes you can turn this feature on for both heat and cool.

Answer:	this will work on batteries and 24vac from your air handler if you have central air but it is an extreme overkill and may require other components such as relays. If your application only has 2 wire such as a boiler only a simple bi-metal old school thermostat is your best bet.
Question:	I have a Samsung smartthings v2 Hub is there anything additional I need to purchase to get this working
Answer:	Yes, you need to get the "Radio Thermostat Company of America ZW.9.0 Z-Wave U-Snap Module, White" module which wirelessly connects the thermostat to the hub. I have 2 of these thermostats and they are both connected wirelessly to the hub this way. FYI: the 2nd USNAP module I ordered did not work. I tried everything, tried it in both thermostats, moved the other one between thermostats, etc. and the bottom line is it must've been a defective piece. I returned it for another one, and it has worked fine. They work well, however, Smartthings has things they need to improve on their end. I.e., I have it set up for Smartthings to run a different routine at four different times during the day (which changes the setting of the thermostat), and there have been some major inconsistencies. Mostly it runs fine, but sometimes it doesn't run these at all, and therefore your thermostat sticks at whatever the previous setting was. I can of course change it manually thru the phone app, but that defeats the purpose of having a routine that is supposed to do that automatically at different times throughout the day. I think they're working on it, but my God, it shouldn't be that hard to fix, and it looks like it's a common problem, so who knows how long till they ever get it fixed right...

Answer:	What size filter are you looking for? This listing has 3 choices - both of the choices that have a description of mpr 1550 are actually called allergen reduction filters & clearly state that they are mpr 1550. I use one of these sizes & always get the 1550. If you need 16X25X4 it's called allergen defense filter mpr 1000. I couldn't find any other statement in the description that listed the mpr - so to me it's unclear. You might want to contact amazon customer support to verify the mpr, but also, the product can be returned if it's not what you were looking for.

Answer:	The one I purchased was 20x25x4. If you only have option for 1 inch thick, then it sounds like they are out of the 4 inch version.
Question:	Never had an air conditioner or furnace so I have a rather silly question. How can I tell when the filter needs changing - dirty on the backside
Answer:	When it gets dirty on the air intake side. Don't wait for it to get caked with dust as this will cut down on air flow and make your furnace/air conditioner work harder to reach your desired temperature. Filter vendors often recommend changing 4 times per year, but your mileage may vary depending on how much you heat and cool and the cleanliness of the air being moved. I change about 3 times per year, but I could go to twice. Do you change your car filter? How dirty does that get? Be sure the actual size of the filter is correct for your blower. Filtrete nominal sizes and actual sizes differ. I got stuck with 4 filters I can not use. I bought the size 16x25x4, but the end of the filter has the actual size: 16 x 24 1/2 x 4 1/2. the 4 1/2" dimension is too large to fit.

All the products seem to be 1" rather than 4." Question:	how do I adjust the temperature spread setting
Answer:	Look for the button that says "swing". Push it and when the screen changes to show what number the swing setting is press the up/down temp change buttons to change the swing setting. It can be changed to .5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0. The default setting is 1. When the temp drops below the set temp by the number in the swing setting the thermostat will activate and when it rises above above the set temp by that number it will shut off furnace. Vice versa for a/c but same principle.
Question:	When you change the temperature each day how to you get it to stay & not be temporary
Answer:	When you change your temperature for the day you want you have to use the hold button, it will stay at that temperature until you change it back

Answer:	No, I have never had a motor fail in my home, and I've used a high MERV filter for several years. I had a starting capacitor fail, but I think that was a faulty cap. (capacitor plague), and not over heating due to poor airflow. A clean higher MERV filter is probably going to allow more air flow than a dirty low MERV filter. Closed up registers and dirty trunking are also going to contribute.
