Answer:	Hi John, I am not sure at what heat it will turn on however it does have a thermostat which will turn on the fan or increase the fan speed from low to high when excessive heat is detected. I think it may be best to contact the manufacturer to ask what temperature threshold it is configured to turn on. I was able to find more information on the HEAT SENTRY system at Broan's Website in the instructions manual on page 3. Answer:	It is a very fine mist. I had to let mine sit and soak up the water for about 15 min, then turn on again. Honestly, it is ok for very small spaces like a office desk or near your computer while you are working. Mine worked very well for about 9 weeks, then started to make a weird screetching sound while it was on. I may order another one or a similar model.

Answer:	The 8210 fan has a 9" diameter housing, but uses a 7 inch duct. The specially designed transition-type housing reduces the diameter of the housing opening to fit 7" round duct without the need for a reducer. If you already have 7" duct, you should not have any issues.

Question:	Can you use the fan without the thermostat feature? I don't want it going on and off all night long
Answer:	I think the other replies were with older models? I just purchased this model and there's no issue with opting out of the thermostat feature. As noted in the instructions, to get to continous air flow, you just keep clicking the button through the modes (first you click throught the various thermostat temperatures, and then you get to "high" or "low" as options. If you click high or low either one will stay on continously. Both options are extremely quiet. It sounds like the person who had a louid nose on the low setting had a defective fan.
Question:	I want to use this in a stand-alone one room dance studio with only one window. If it's very hot outside, will this really keep it cool inside
Answer:	It’s not an AC unit so it will only be as cool (or slightly less hot) as the air from the source. That being said you could use this fan on Exhaust to suck hot air out and use a tower fan to create a breeze in the room. But to cool a room on a 90+ degree day, I’d recommend a window AC. This fan will circulate air tho, so it’s not a bad place to start.

Answer:	This is our second window fan. I don't remember what brand/model etc our first fan was, but the CFM WAS WAY higher than this Holmes fan. My assumption is by lowering the maximum fan speed & thus drastically lower the CFM, they can advertise the fan as being quieter and using less energy. ***We have used this fan for 2 years and we DO NOT recommend it if you are looking for a high CFM (volume) fan***

Answer:	I’ve been using an older version of this fan for about 20, yup, 20 years. I use it in a garage studio. Sometimes it runs for months 24/7. It’s slowing down, tons of dirt and mysterious things on it. While it is exhaling i spray wd30 on it till it speeds up again, lol. I have absolutely punished this fan. But like I said, I run it all year, summer and winter. One side died about 4 years ago, but the other is running as we speak. The reason I saw this is because I was looking to see if they still made it. Yay they do; and it is very quiet. Next paycheck I’m getting a new one. I love the intake exhaust function,brilliant! Answer:	This fan allows cooking fumes to pass through a grease filter and a thin replaceable activated charcoal filter. It cannot absorb large amounts of cooking odors or smoke. You need a fan that is ducted to the outside to effectively remove cooking odors and smoke.

Answer:	30" with a measuring tape.

Answer:	That's correct. The air flows through the filter on the underside and out through the three columns of vent slats you see on the front of the range hood. There is no connection to other vents or ducts in a wall or through the roof.
Question:	I will be plugging the rangehood into the wall, will I need a power cord kit
Answer:	I'm not sure what your setup is, but when I did mine, I hardwired the hood into the existing black and white wires that were used in the old hood. Chances are that if you don't have the pre wired design that I had, you will need a power cord kit if you plan to physically plug the unit into a traditional wall socket.

Answer:	I have the Osocosy flats. The ones I have are birdseye fabric. Size wise they are about the same. The birdseye fabric is trimmer and dries faster. The Kushies are flannel. They are heavier and quite a bit more absorbent. They do take longer to dry. The flannel Kushies are very similar in fabric content to a flannel receiving blanket, and in fact they work well as blankets! All in all, it depends on whether you are preferring a thin woven fabric like birdseye, or a heavy flannel fabric.

Answer:	the same accessories you buy for the instant pot 6 quart can fit easily, with the new ultra, I have an extra pot and seals, and they are the same size. I would purchase extra ring set-they rings do get a bit discolored after several uses. I bought an extra 6 quart pot because I wanted to use it to steam veggies. Hope this is helpful.
Question:	Why does the description not have cfm? that is the most important thing to look for while anybody wanting to buy a range hood
Answer:	A pressure cooker reaches a set level of pressure *relative to* the surrounding atmospheric pressure outside the pot. So altitude definitely affects pressure cooking as well as regular cooking. A pressure cooker at 11.5 psi (Instant Pot's high pressure setting) raises the cooking temp (that is, the temperature at which water boils) from 212°F at sea level to about 243°F. Denver is just a bit below 5400', where the boiling temp is 202°F with no additional pressure. In Denver, the pressure cooker still reaches 11.5 psi but the absolute pressure inside the pot is equivalent to only 9 psi at sea level, and the temp will reach only 238°F. So it will still make a huge difference in cooking time versus regular cooking, but it won't cook quite as fast as a low elevation. If you took a standard pressure cooker to the top of Mt Everest, it would cook food much slower than regular (no pressure) cooking at sea level.
Question:	What's the exhaust duct size
Answer:	You don't need a circulator but you will need a thermometer because the water temperature is not regulated the way a normal sous vide is. Depending on how much water you have in the pot. you'll need to adjust the temperature accordingly. For example with a 2/3 filled pot and 130 degree setting, the water never got above 123 degrees in my pot. With 2" of water it gets much closer.
Question:	Is it more noisy if the duct is adapted to a 4 inch
Answer:	I bought the Ultra so I could do sous vide easily. Couldn't figure out a reliable method to control temperature with the Duo. (You Tube used Ultra) I also bought at Sur La Table for either $99.95 or $119.95. Use this one more than I did the Duo. Having a lot of fun. Since sous vide takes longer, good to have second pot on hand for sides.

Answer:	I use this exhaust fan for 300 Sq. Ft. room and it works great. As far how many Cubic Ft. it's designed for, I would recommend you direct the question directly to the manufacturer. But, if this helps at all, I tried a conversion calculator and found it to be about just over 11 Cubic Feet. Hope this helps. Otherwise, contact the manufacturer for more accurate answer(s).
