Question:	If there is no tilt bar, how do louvers tilt so that they are all at same angle
Answer:	The louvers are operated by hand.You tilt one and they all move. They are attached together by a small rod on the back of the panel. Its on the edge so it doesnt block your view. It also makes cleaning them so easy.

Question:	outside L frame - I presume if I have a window sill I need to use the outside l-frame
Answer:	Hi , Frame choice mostly depends on window depth. Z frames wrap your window so you will need 2 1/2 " depth for louver clearence. On either frame, If you have a sill we put a special frame on the bottom called a sill plate . Once you place the order we will request a picture of the window to make sure everything will work . Answer:	No. It was easy to take apart and use.
Question:	how do you repair a plastic hollow louver for a plantation shutter I need to attach swivel bar to louver
Answer:	I found that the gizmos in this repair kit were too big for my plantation shutters. So I ran a nail through from the side of the shutter into the louver and it works just fine. I covered up the nail hole with some putty and all is well.
Question:	Can you tell me the hole diameter required to insert this into
Answer:	As I used these as replacements, I didn't do anything to determine the actual hole diameters. However, they did fit easily into the original holes once the pieces from the broken pins were removed. I had to drill out the old broken pieces from the smaller end, but I used a drill bit that was slightly smaller than the actual pin size.
Question:	How do I insert the staples into the slats? Do I need a tool? Are there instructions
Answer:	If the shutter is not pre drilled for the staples you will have to purchase a very small drill bit approx 1/32 but please confirm that dimension because it has been a while since I did this. To insert the staple i used a small hammer. If You need, use a nose pliers to hold the staple in place while you hit it with the hammer. If You have to do alot I recommend making a fixture so that your holes are consistant.hope this helps.

Answer:	No, the wooden shutters we were repairing I believe are called plamtation shutters.
Question:	Are the staples that come with this kit the one that’s inserted into the shutter itself or the rod
Answer:	The staples that come in this kit (see one pictured at left) are inserted into the wood.
Question:	The horizontal rod is not wood ,can I still push the staples through? The original one was plastic
Answer:	Our shutters were all wood so the staples were easy to insert. However, they did not stay in place very well and we eventually decided to replace the shutters
Question:	How do you attache the staple. It is too tiny to hit with a hammer
Answer:	No hammer necessary! Only use the needle nose pliers to put it into the existing holes. Good luck!
