How to cut the carpet tape?

Be sure to use a knife to cut the tape from the paper side which faces up. Suggest cutting with a knife rather than scissors.

It takes about 3 or 4 good sized pieces on each end or side of the rug,you just have to apply it right! Rug will stop moving.

How to install the carpet tape?

1. Unroll your carpet tape and tape the sticky side to the floor surface on which your carpet or tile will be laid. Leave the paper side face up.

HOW TO CUT

We recommend using a knife, and cutting through the tape SPECIFICALLY from the paper side of the roll, which will be facing up. (Using scissors or applying the knife to the sticky side may cause difficulty in cutting). Specifically for carpets, rugs, and runners, we recommend cutting numerous smaller sized pieces, vs longer continuous pieces, to avoid bunching and wrinkling and allow for easier application.

HOW TO APPLY

Unroll and apply the adhesive side of the tape to the underneath of the rug, pad or tile you are planning to lay and secure, leaving on the paper backing. (Alternatively you can stick the adhesive part of the tape to the surface of the floor area where carpet or tile will be laid). Note- Depending on the job, surface and what you are securing, be sure to use an adequate amount of tape for the job. Our extra long role provides and abundance of tape for use for any project from a few stairs to much larger surfaces, such as basements, full floors or garages.

HOW TO PEEL AND SECURE

When you have finished applying all the pieces, we recommend that you remove the paper backing from the pieces one at a time rather than removing the backing from all the tape at once. This will allow you to maneuver your carpet, rug, runner etc. with ease as you secure it and position it in place. Once you're satisfied with the final position, press firmly along the edges and the middle.

REMOVAL

Removal of the tape should be easy and clean and can be done by hand. Start by picking at one of the corners until you achieve a tiny piece that has lifted up. Firmly pull that piece using your hands until the full strip is removed. If one is having difficulty getting the tape up, we recommend a bit of dish soap and warm water. Using a carpet friendly adhesive removal such as goo gone will do also do the trick.

How to remove the carpet tape?

You can remove the carpet tape directly by hand. When removing this or any tape, you have to roll it like it's Elmer's glue on your hands. Pls don't pull it from corner or edge with too much force or tension, the wrong operation can easily damage the floor finish. Remember, gently roll from one end to another starting with a corner, or you can use a hair dryer to heat the carpet tape to soften it,and then you can remove the tape more easily and safely by hand.

To remove carpet tape when it is too firmly attached: use a hair dryer and GASOLINE (PLEASE NOTE: GASOLINE IS THE BEST SOLVENT FOR TAPE).

1. Use a hair dryer to heat the location of the carpet tape. The carpet tape becomes soft when heated, due to the support of the fibers. Therefore, you can easily remove it.

2. If there is any residue of carpet tape, you can wipe the remaining tape with gasoline (automobile gasoline, be careful to clean it after use), as the gasoline will melt the tape, and the floor and carpet will be restored to its original state after cleaning.

The above method can be used in any environment that requires removal.

HOW TO USE THE CARPET TAPE?

Stick the tape to the underneath of the carpet, rug or tile you are planning to lay and secure, leaving on the paper backing. Peel off the paper backing from each piece of tape after all the required tape pieces are in place. After placing the carpet in the final position, press firmly along the edges and the middle.

HOW TO CUT THE CARPET TAPE?

Cut the tape from the paper backing side of the tape,(that it will not stick to the knife). End and side of the rug, we recommend using multiple small pieces instead of a longer continuous pieces, to avoid bunching.

REMOVAL

Removal of the tape should be easy and clean and can be done by hand. By picking at one of the corners, remove tape slowly and completely. Don't pull it from corner or edge with too much force or tension, the wrong operation can easily damage the floor finish. If one is having difficulty getting the tape up, we recommend use a bit of alcohol,or warm soapy water. Using a carpet friendly adhesive removal such as goo gone will do also do the trick.
