Answer:	there is a high chance that the vinyl becomes slippery due to the finished aluminum

Answer:	LVP tends to be very thin, with a very tiny click lock mechanism. I'd be concerned that too much padding may allow the planks to separate. It might be worth trying, though. While LVP walks a little quieter than Pergo, both products tend to walk a lot noisier than hardwood. A quality pad like this makes all the difference with Pergo. It makes the floor sound more solid, and a lot quieter. It should help out with LVP, as well.
Question:	I am on the second floor and need quiet foot traffic. Will this help with that
Answer:	Yes, the IIC rating is what most condo complexes now require to minimize noise transfer. Used it on several condo projects. Great pad.

Question:	I plan to staple down 3/8" engineered flooring in the upstairs of a home over vinyl flooring. Will this underlayment work underneath
Answer:	If your floor is level, just pull up the old vinyl, put down this underlayment, and float the floor. There were a few areas where I had to staple to the subfloor over this underlayment, and it worked just fine. It's not that difficult, and I am certainly not a pro.
Question:	How is it different than roberts 70-193 super felt underlayment 360-feet square roll for sound reducing and absorbing ? Is it just bigger role
Answer:	Hi There!The felt is going to have an stc rating of 66, will be 3mm thick and will be made of felt with the built in vapor barrier. The Roberts First Step underlayment is going to also be 3mm thick, with a stc rating of 67. This underlayment will be made up of two sheets of plastic with polypropylene foam beads in between those. Answer:	Not sure why you would have it uncovered for extended period. We are just now installing for first time. Previous underpayment had no odor and once covered no odor year later. I think we will be just as happy with this brand

Answer:	Since your laminate already has attached pad there is no need to provide an extra layer of underlay cushioning . However if moisture coming from your concrete subfloor is an issue then a standard vapor barrier plastic should be used (plastic sheeting without any foam underlay)

Question:	Can I use this behind garage door panels for sound barrier
Answer:	I used the ultraseal underlayment beneath a 1/2" hickory and nailed down the floor. Nailing through the underlayment obviously would eliminate the moisture barrier properties but it works great for sound absorption and provides a slight cushion. We used this converting an upstairs bedroom to a home gym so we wanted the cushioning and sound absorption only.

Answer:	I don't know if you can stack it, it seems like it would slide. But we used it at it is on a cement basement floor under vinyl plank flooring, and it feels great to walk on. You feel the cushion & the give of the floor with every step. It also seems to keep the floor from getting too cold from the cement.

Super Felt is a 3mm thick insulating underlayment made to reduce noise and help cushion flooring. By absorbing noise instead of deflecting it, Super Felt provides a deep, rich sound. This felt underlayment is made from recycled fibers and compressed using a high heat manufacturing process. The film overlay protects engineered and laminate flooring from any moisture from the subfloor and includes an adhesive strip and 1-3/4” overlap for linking multiple rolls.
