Answer:	No, they are not perforated. They definitely need to be cut with scissors. It seems to me that perforations would limit the usefulness of the product. I much prefer being able to cut the exact length I need.
Question:	Should the screen spline be facing inside or outside? The door handle seems to force it to be outside, but that seems backwards
Answer:	Not this variation of Hook & Loop Velcro because you would be wasting half of the material. This is a strip where on side has hooks and the other side, instead of adhesive has loops so if it were sewn to say a garment, you would be wasting the side that is against the fabric. What you want is the version of H&L that comes in two pieces -- one that has the hooks and the other has the loops. Sew one strip to one side of the garment, sew the other strip to the fabric you want the strips to join. You seem to be looking for H&L strips that have no adhesive on the back. That version is hard to find. Thing is, no reason you can't use the strips that HAVE adhesive on the back -- you will still be able to sew it to the fabric regardless. The adhesive back strips will sew just as well -- the adhesive is immaterial, in fact it probably will be a bit of an advantage as it will hold the strips in place as you sew. In other words, if you just get regular adhesive strips with adhesive on the back, it won't prevent you in any way from sewing it to fabric and that type is certainly easier to find that H&L that has no adhesive on the back. But, to answer your question (4 years later), no this version is NOT going to work for your purpose.

Answer:	Prevailing winds, similar to the gulf here in Texas, will be fine for this screen. At the top middle point, raise it a bit where you Velcro and tack it. Leave a bit of slack on each vertical side so the magnets aren't as easily pulled apart. We have one on our beach house on the Texas coast and it works just fine with the southeastern winds that are steady in the Summer months :-)

Answer:	no, you can not cut to fit, but you can make two mall pleats along the top as you install it to adjust for the smaller door. That is what I had to do for a 32" door and it worked fine.

Question:	I live in Florida. How does it hold up in wind
Answer:	Maybe we got a bad batch... I bought two for cross vent between front and rear doors. But any decent wind would blow one of the two of them open. Our doors are painted metal, so the next thing that happens is the magnet gets to the door and WACK - pinned open. They are frustrating me...

Answer:	I don't know about this particular screens brand, but after all the time I spent looking at them from one listing to the next, probably having seen around a dozen or two, I feel more than confident in the fact that they are all pretty much the same exact thing. Having said that, we purchased one about 2 years ago and it has been an absolute pleasure to have it and it has been more than satisfactory the entire time. If you keep anything magnetic, like a broom to be more specific, leaning up against the wall next to the opening you choose to hang your screen on, the magnets in the screen will in fact attach itself, thereby causing the screen to remain halfway open if you don't happen to notice that it took place. Otherwise, we have 2 dogs and 2 grand doggies who visit us often, and it's an absolute God send for that purpose alone. Also, because we are very outdoorsy people, we tend to go through the doorway with full hands and with this screen, I can't tell you how great it is not having to set things down or fumble and possibly drop the stuff. And then one last thing I'll mention about it is, and it's really just something silly, but it's actually quite the conversation piece too believe it or not lol. People just trip over it because they've never seen anything like it I guess, so they think it's just great. The one downside as far as I'm concerned at least is, once you've had it for a period of time and have gotten real used to having, seeing and using it on the daily, be careful going through the same type door opening when visiting at your family or friends houses because you might just walk into the closed door or screen more likely, and you could be injured, embarrassed or both lol. Answer:	No, the good ones that you wish to keep in will be influenced by the bad ones you wish to keep out. They can still communicate through the light mesh material... The bad will convince the good to sneak out with them in the middle of the dark, leading to sleepless nights of worrying for you. Even worse, the bad can convince the good to let them come in "just for a minute" with the easy open feature. Hope this helps.

Answer:	Many of the reviews complain of the same issue. I read the reviews, but didn't expect the noise level to be that annoying. I would never recommend this product.

Answer:	The box Extends close from the fan unit. It was set at installation and I can't reach it without a ladder. I do have a separate on/off switch connected where I can get to just in case...

Answer:	we have it set at 90 degrees, fan turns on when attic temperature reaches 90. Our Electrician set it.

Question:	Will the velcro strips ruin the doorframe if removed? not sure i want to permanently adhere this to my outside french door
Answer:	The finished length is 80” including an approximate 1” border hem of heavy black material at the bottom (runs horizontal). The magnetic strip at the edges of the opening (vertical) stops just above the hem. So, you could probably fold up the bottom hem (like hemming a pant leg) and affix it somehow. (Not sure with what; adhesive? Sewing?) But this would only shorten it by an inch anyway before bumping into the magnetic strip. Others have suggested if you can install the screen higher that would be easiest and I agree. Cutting it is not a good idea since you would lose the hem.

Answer:	I had the wife shorten ours by sewing in a double fold over at the top. Looks like it came that way and the height is now perfect. We got the 34" wide version that exactly fit the middle 36" wide opening in our 9' aluminum sliding patio door.

Answer:	it's possible to cut the bottom, but it is weighted to help keep it "sealed" so it doesn't flap around and let bugs in. i wouldn't do it.

Question:	Does the 36x96 door come in white or beige
Answer:	It comes with velcro that you attach around the door to hold it in place. This also allows you to take it down if you don’t want it up. Velcro holds really well. I’ve had other screens like this previously and the Velcro didn’t hold well and the screen would start to fall down. This hasn’t happened with this screen. Much better quality.
Question:	Does it have a magnetic latch
Answer:	Mine do. I have it set up in the doorway that leads to the garage. Our kids and labrador fly through it daily and each time it snaps right back shut. No gaps, no rips,, no problem. Actually surprised how well it has held up for such a cheap item.

Answer:	I have a wooden door frame and it did take off a small amount of the wood. Nothing terrible, but there was damage. I think you would be ok if you just used the pins to keep the insert up you would be ok!
