So, I put ONE 'SCANT' coat of white WAX, KIWI shoe polish over this 'waterproofing' & that worked great, making them as white as B4...Even 3 years later, I can't believe how good they still look. Living in SE Pennsylvania, I have worn them thru MANY DOWNPOURS/snowstorms/while cleaning snow off my car...even when I've, unintentionally, stepped in water puddles...stm…also at several sporting events, concerts etc. & my feet stay dry as can be! BTW, I haven't reapplied the Kiwi Waterproofing since I first got them, but I have reapplied the white shoe polish, after using a diluted REGULAR Dawn/warm water solution & a soft, microfiber cloth to gently clean & allowing them to dry completely...to keep them looking good, for as long as possible...& only notice 'dirt' & VERY SMALL amount of the white polish on the cloth, that easily washes off the cloth, so that tells me I'm not 'washing off/effecting' the original coats of waterproofing...A lot is still left in the can, but since it is 3+ yrs old, just getting a new can, for when I find a new pair of boots I'm looking for & sharing with Friends...MUCH cheaper for same amount, here @ AMAZON than I paid at a shoe store (price sticker still on it) & saw your question/concern. 1. Clean surface of dirt, dust, grease and oil. Make sure surface is dried completely.

2. Shake well. Spray 8″ to 12″ from surface, covering evenly. A test spray on a disposable object is recommended before applying to your project.

Answer:	Yes. I use this product on my wife's Beetle canvas top. Use the 303 fabric cleaner first though. After 24 hrs to dry then apply the fabric guard. I rolled mine on vs spray for better results but can tell you if you roll on a good coat it will use up the entire 32oz bottle. But it is worth it. I apply every 6 months and water beads off like it's been waxed. Very pleased with the product. Don't get on windows, plastic, paint. Wipe immediately to keep from having to really scrub off where you spilled it.

Answer:	Laurie, yes, that's what I use it for. Try to make sure you use it on a clean, wet blanket. I purchased a defective Snuggit blanket online, and I was about ready to throw it away and buy another. But I took a chance on this product, and washed the blanket with Nikwax Rug Wash, then hung the blanket and sprayed it heavily with this product. I let it dry for a couple of days in the sun, and voila! The next time it rained, the water beaded up, and my horse was snug and warm and dry. That was a few months ago, and the rain still beads up on the blanket. I've purchased another small bottle, to use at the end of the winter season. I'm going to wash the blanket and re-treat it with the Nikwax spray-on, before storing it until next winter. I've also purchased and used Nikwax Rug Proof, but I like this spray on much better. I've had it on for over a year and it's still good (bought extra canisters for this year as previous stuff only lasted a season but haven't had to use them yet). My camping days are long over but I would certainly try this out for canvas tenting.

Answer:	Absolutely! Canvas, fabric, leather. It absorbs quickly, but you should give it at least 12 hrs drying time before exposure to water

If you do a thorough job spraying it on (you don't need to soak your shoes, just completely spray the whole surface) your shoes or boots will be waterproof and will keep your feet dry. I re-spray my shoes once a year. The only wrinkle is: if the snow is so deep that it comes in over the tops of your boots, obviously no waterproofing treatment can help you.

It does have a strong oder that will last a few days, but does dissipate, it worked very well on all tight knit cloth and materials, it worked great on my leather boots and gloves for a week or so. Does no do well on lose knitted items, ie: sweaters, it does waterproof the material, but water still runs through the knit. I just ed purchased a new couch, and will be spraying with starseal before I leave for work in the morning. NOTE: APPLY ONLY IN WELL VENTILATED AREAS.

Answer:	I have only used this on my tent and tent fly. I wash and rinse and spray the product over entire fly. After a few minutes I use damp cloth to smooth out any excess spray. Then I let dry completely before I pack tent to store. So no heat required and when it dries it's good to go. Hope this helps.

Answer:	If what you want is to not to get paint on the wrist cuff, no, this is to repel water. Paint has chemicals and it will get on the cuff no matter what

Answer:	depends how much weather your item sees. with my brushed leather work shoes I think I applied it twice in 30 days (just to make sure) in the fall,then once again in the spring. I run deliveries for a local bakery in western N.Y. state so I am out in all kinds of rain and puddles and mud. I wear serious boots in the winter so these shoes don't see snow deeper than two inches and in summer I wear gym shoes. this stuff is terrific! and by the way,I used it on the gym shoes twice as well and it's still working great! really good stuff! I imagine a leather jacket would only need one application unless you're out in the rain everyday. hope this helps.
