Answer: | This weight may stay on in those situations, but I strongly advise against either activity! As a former fitness professional for over 24 years, I read the research on weighted extremities. The conclusions, over and over, were that wearing weights on arms and legs during activities like running, anywhere, or dancing, increased the risk of injury a LOT! I never used weights on my arms or legs while running, walking, dancing, or teaching aerobics. I use my weights during mat exercises, rehabbing my knee replacement. I don't even use them on the exercise bike. If you insist on wearing them, I do think that they won't stay on very long, judging from my experience with them. |
