Answer:	I personally haven't used it in water, but I've washed it before with detergent soap and it still holds up fine.

Answer:	I would say from a weight classification it aligns more with high school/adult but I have used it for younger kids as well. It is not more difficult for the younger kids to server it over hand since it heavier than the regulation balls for 12 and under group such as the Molten 12U or Volley-Lite.
