Answer:	The GST ball has both leather and composite versions. If descriptions don't indicate either way look at the picture. Most leather versions have sewn on stripes. Composites are painted on. There is also a big difference in cost with leather ones running about $40 for Youth and 75-80 for HS/collegiate size

Answer:	Yes. This ball could be used on concrete or asphalt/street surfaces, but there's a lot cheaper variations out there if that's going to be the primary surface you'll use this ball on.
Question:	What's the difference between the GST 1003 and the GST
Answer:	From what I can tell on the Wilson site:http://www.downtownathletic.com/pdfs/catalogs/wilson/2013-Wilson-Fall.pdf, the 1003 is the "Official Collegiate Pattern" and the 1004 is the "Official Pro Pattern." I think that means the 1003 is just slightly smaller but still within the specs of a collegiate ball. Both are approved for NCAA and NFHS use. I'm guessing the 1003 is used more in high school ball. I hope that helps.

As far as comparing it to a Major League Baseball the difference between the Wilson a1010 or any of the Wilson High School products are the windings that they use the windings in baseball is the yarn and is almost 90% pure wool in a Major League Baseball most high school baseballs use a synthetic type of winding that has less pop to make it a safer baseball. The biggest difference between the non nfhs and nfhs approved baseball is how is constructed what type of core it has and windings it's a much safer ball. I hope that answers your questions.
