Answer:	I would think so. I use exercise cables for my workouts, and have used these to help prevent friction burns near my elbows.Just note that these are by no means "rugged". They show wear if used beyond just being used as compression sleeves. That being said, I think passing a volleyball - which is more of a 'deflection' activity - would be fine.
