| Answer: | I'm not sure I understand the boxing terminology of "slipping". However, the balls are small enough and soft enough that it wouldn't injure you if it hit you in the face (from a distance). The machine doesn't always shoot balls out at the exact same spot, which is why it's good for batting practice. |

| Answer: | It will simulate 70 mph, but not pitch that fast. You have to move it closer, something like 40-38 feet to simulate that speed. The weight of the balls gives them a lot of movement , which gives the appearance that they are going faster. The curves and sliders are the biggest advantage that this machine can give you. It's harder to hit than the real thing, so makse hanging curves look like they are on a tee. A real pitcher can't throw curves or sliders as good as this machine. |

I've had one in my basement for several years hitting JUGGS balls with wood bats and love it. The balls break occasionally after a long period of time but can really take a beating. I set-up the machine on stacked crates so that the machine is at shoulder height thus replicating a very inexpensive indoor pitching machine. If you buy good balls they will be delivered consistently in the strike zone. The best money I've spent for practicing baseball in the winter. |

| Answer: | Yes. Just make sure they are real leather balls and not synthenic leather. The coating on the synthentic leather balls comes off and gums up the wheels on the pitching machine. You can clean it off with acetone but it's a pain. Just make sure to use real leather balls and you will be fine. |

| Answer: | It comes with a standard plug. You could rig it but the manufacturer recommends you use a generator instead. These units also slowly diminish in power which can result in constantly changing pitch locations. The need to make sure the unit is always charged and ready to use is an issue. Batteries are also very expensive to replace. As a result of these and many other concerns, we recommend generators; please see the next question.Can the machines be operated with a generator?Yes, however the generator must generate "clean electricity". We recommend a minimum of 1000W up to 2000W Honda generator with inverter technology. | Answer: | Yes. It tilts up, down and sideways to throw curves. You can shorten the rear leg to throw flys. It only goes to 60mph, so it's not as fast as off the bat. |
