Answer:	I actually think the foam ones block out noise better. These silicone ones are easier to put in But I think the foam ones blocked my husband’s snoring better.
Question:	will I have to use swimming cap to stay in reliably
Answer:	Yes, my 10 yr old son was on the swim team and we couldn't find ear plugs that would stay in when he dived in. Until, we got these. He never had a problem with these falling out. And it comes with 3 sizes and a nice case. I would recommend trying them.

Answer:	I would not think so. I have 2 dogs and I'd be afraid to even try it.
