Answer:	The Power-Fit is a unique combination of the Power-Fit mouthguard with its patented fins and custom-made shell together with the patented Power-Cage. The cage consists of an outer and inner tray, which fit one inside the other, and it is into this tray system that the mouthguard is placed. As the wearer bites down onto the mouthguard, the Power-Cage compresses it onto the teeth resulting in a perfectly moulded mouthguard that fits snugly around the teeth and soft tissue providing the ultimate fit and retention.
Question:	Is this mouthguard suitable for protection from bruxism, aka teeth grinding? Most guards on the market don't have the technology for nite fit here
Answer:	We do not recommend that you use the Power-Fit for for bruxism. A mouthguard can be worn as protective equipment for any sport or activity, however if you are concerned about grinding then you may be better off with a nightguard. Nightguards are manufactured to protect the teeth from bruxism (grinding), and are a single layer of clear polymer. If you were interested in a customfit mouthguard, these are made up of more than one layer so could eventually begin to delaminate if too much pressure is applied and the teeth pierce the layers. We have been selling these for about 15 years in our retail stores as well as online and the 10 and under guideline is a good guideline. It is just a guideline though. We have had 12 year olds who have a smaller head and mouth prefer the youth and 7/8 year old who have bigger than average heads/mouths that need the adult. After they are custom fit per the instructions you will also get a much better fit, and if you need to get an adult size you can trim that size down in the length too.
