Answer:	Yes! It is real wood. There is an annoying protective wax coating on the inside that gets all over the blade. But, after several draws and a few times cleaning the blade, you can't even tell it there. Good for both the saya and the entire blade, including the kissaki and hada. Excellent blade for the money!

Answer:	I like these on the heavy bag but have always used wraps under them. The wrist support is good, but if you’re gonna go hard, add some wraps. Liberlupus has some for about $7 that I bought with these gloves that have held up well.

Answer:	I believe these gloves are more suitable when you need to use open-handed techniques mixed with strikes. I have used them for light mitt drills which was okay. I quickly learned they aren't great for wailing on heavy bags. If I do use them for heavy bag work, however, I focus more on jab technique because they don't offer much support for harder punches. If your class involves a lot of punching and/or if you're the type to throw hard, I would suggest regular boxing gloves. I opted to wear wraps with these gloves because I got chaffing between my pinkies and ring fingers. Wraps will also add to your finger and wrist protection. Hope that helps :)

Answer:	That's a good question. It doesn't say on the package, but if I had to venture a guess, I'd say 5 oz. But that's an uneducated guess.

Answer:	This one will last you all of three days bit the others will hold up through more abuse I personally recommend getting venum or hayabusa gloves they are more expensive but they will hold up for years

Answer:	Absolutely. This is what my daughter ususally uses them for, and they hold up very well. There is a caveat though. If the outer surface of the bag is really rough, you will need to cover the area you're striking on, or you may end up marring the surface of the gloves. As my daughter's bag is fairly smooth, I've seen no marks on the gloves besides normal wear.

Answer:	The SM/M that I purchased fit my 9 yr old to adult (female) client's/athletes. They may be big for a 5yr old unless he has hands are about as big as yours.

Answer:	I bought the small/Med for myself but are a little too big for my 11 year old. I recommend the 8oz sanabul gel kickboxing gloves for the eight year old, that’s what my 11 and 9 year old boys use. My 4 year old wears. 4oz gloves. Full gloves are better so they don’t hurt their fingers or poke an eye while sparring.

Question:	How nimble is the thumb piece
Answer:	I wouldn't recommend it. They are ok for gripping but it's not their primary purpose and the way the padding is positioned around the web of the thumb would make some movement of the grip feel less natural. Just my 2 cents anyway. They kick ass for striking a heavy bag or pads though.
