Question: Does this attach over the 1st strap of the muzzle or over the nose band of the halter
Answer: Myself I don't see you being able to do that. The front of the cushion has a loop that goes through the hole on the western saddle and threads up and over the horn. I don't believe the loop is long enough to go around the pommel and even if it could stretch that far I have a feeling it would not hold. Good luck.

Answer: Purchased both for my Wife she preferred the Sheepskin,, more comfort and padding, much cooler, allowed more air circulation than the Tush Cushion. She gifted the Tush Cushen to another Rider. In her who loved it. The Sheepskin she has used on weekly rides now for approx 9 months still in good condition.

Answer: Maybe....depends on the individual donkey. I use the muzzle for 2 ponies. Both eat fine with it on. One is comfortable drinking with it on but the other will not drink at all while wearing it. You would also want to check each donkey daily for rub marks / skin irritations if they are wearing the muzzle 24/7

Answer: My pony has once or twice got out of it "somehow"! But not easily. The Velcro is sturdy. I've not had trouble with him getting caught on something, but it would break away if needed. (I've used for many years, at end of year, hole widens, gorilla tape works great!!)
