Answer:	I've used gloves just like this for years for handling firewood in the sense that one can pick up a log from a fire and move it around to adjust a campfire but one has only about 10 seconds or less before the heat penetrates and starts to burn fingers. But for that 5-10 seconds, one can handle very hot things. This degrades the glove, I'm sure, however. It is a sort of abuse since thick leather like this is NOT designed to handle lots of heat for very long and I always figured it shortened the life of the glove. However, what always goes bad about these glove is the fingers (last 2" of finger) of the dominant hand always, always, always develop holes. These CAN be sewn together for a quick fix BUT that lasts only a few more days at best. Something that does work is to cut off the glove finger with a hole and then glue a L-hand finger tip onto the cut glove finger. I am R-handed so always have unending supply of hole-free L-hand gloves. But recent experiment with this gluing really works! Extends glove life by 50% at least. I use a good fabric glue (Beacon Fabri-Tac from Amazon).

Answer:	No thinsulate. Just leather, but they are high quality thick leather work gloves.
Question:	Are this gloves durable enough for a construction worker to use
Answer:	I would say, yes, with the caveat that all gloves wear out and some are more job specific. It also depends on the type of construction work. If you are working with concrete blocks everyday, than like all gloves they will wear out quickly. For concrete workers I'd suggest a masonry glove. That said, for general outside work (agricultural, forestry, carpentry, etc.) these are still my favorite gloves. They wear better than straight leather and offer much better protection against thorns and splintering wood.
