Answer:	Is your dad a seasoned disc golfer or a newbie? What weight does he throw now? How old is he? I tend to stay away from heavier discs and favor 166 to 170 nothing heavier in distance drivers unless you live in a windy environment. Of course my midranges, putters run heavy. Do to the flight behavior.

Answer:	Spin direction determines fade direction. Left handed back hand throws fade right but side arm left hand fade left because you are throwing from the opposite side. Right handed all the same but reversed. Make sense? Disc are made to fade more or less. Leopard does not fade much compared to many others. Those that fade more are called "fast discs". Try to play with experienced players. In a month or less most of this will become obvious and you can try other discs to see what you like. Beginners with good technique often throw longer with less fast discs like the "Sidewinder". When you throw stronger you could try the "Valkery" or "Beast" which is faster yet and many others are much more fast. Some strong players release too late and throw fast discs to compensate because they will come back when thrown late and going the wrong direction in the beginning. There are charts in the Internet that show flight characteristics. Many good players who throw straight consistently like the Roc disc for drives. Many even throw Aviar putters as drivers if the distance is shorter because they are so straight. A good player can throw almost any disc and make it do anything they want by slightly changing the angle of release and snap power. Play with good players is best advice. They can explain many things when they happen and how to alter a poor throw.
