Answer:	Of course it all depends upon the size of the kids. I bought the 5ft units that worked ok for those over 5ft tall and >100lbs. These were too large for the smaller children (3 -4ft tall), they bounced right out.

Answer:	The inflatable ball(I have both the 4ft and 5ft. You want the ball to cover their thigh area to their head, so they can still have their legs out to run. Unless your son is large, the 4 ft should be fine. The adults were using the 5ft. We had lots of fun with them.
