Question:	How long is blade? It has to be under 2.5" here in Chicago
Answer:	The non serrated part of the blade is 1.75 inches in length, the serrated part is 0.75 inches; thus, the whole blade is 2.5 inches
Question:	How is the durability? It looks cool, but can I expect it to function for a couple years if i use it every day
Answer:	Answer The first one I had, before the discontinue was very durable. I had it for a couple years and the simple frame design leaves little room for failure. With use the handle will begin to lose its spring tension, if you are like me and enjoy opening and closing it repeatedly to pass the time. It was a simple enough fix, by spreading the frame, removing the thumb lever, and squeezing the frame in my grip to bend it back. I probably opened and closed the knife a thousand times before it became an issue. I lost that knife and just replaced it with one of these new ones ( I was thrilled to see them in production again) and the spring tension is much tighter on the new one. Harder to open and close but I'm guessing in time it will free up just as the old one. Short answer, yes. You can trust its durability. Just make sure you keep an eye on it if someone asks to check it out, people get envious.
Question:	Can the clip be moved or the other side for left handed use
Answer:	I tried moving it to the other side, because I'm left handed. Since the clip is shaped for a right handed person the bends are in the wrong directions when you flip it to the other side. If they had made it flat, that probably would have worked. I was lucky though. I have a little shop in my backyard and using my vise to flatten it, then using my metal brake to bend it, I was able to get it into a shape where the clip end sticks up and allows it to clasp your pocket as it was meant to do. You could probably do the same thing with a propane torch and pliers. When I bought my FIRST one in 2004, it came with BOTH clips and a tiny allen wrench and took 2 minutes. I gave the new one five stars...until I tired to move the clip over. They saved themselves a couple of bucks MAYBE and made it impossible for most let handed people to use it with a clip. I'm NOT very happy with their decision since left handed people own knives TOO!

Answer:	Amazon should do better at filtering replies. If "Joe" is not helpful, why bother to answer? These type of knives are very easy to use. When closed there is a "flipper" at the pivot end of the knife on the opposite side of the direction from which the knife opens. Hold the knife in a manner so you do not impede the blade opening, the use your index finger to pull the flipper toward the other end of the knife. The knife will begin to open and then be assisted by a torsion bar inside the knife. A little practice is involved. To close, hold the knife in the right hand and push the liner lock, located inside the knife at the pivot of the handle and blade, towards your left to release the blade. Close the knife being careful not to cut off any fingers. Seriously, it's much easier to do than to describe, but "Joe"....

Question:	Is the blade double edged
Answer:	no it's not double edged, but I got as a gift for a friend and he loves it. it was alot nicer than I thought when I got it.
Question:	Is the grip and lock good
Answer:	Yes, the lock stays in place well even with semi-large amounts of stress on the knife. I stabbed an apple and it sliced clean through without much difficulty. It's super sharp so be careful and feels nice to hold.
Question:	Is this mechanism or spring assisted
Answer:	This is spring-assisted and like all spring-assisted knives, the amount of tension applied to the knife base by the support screw determines how easily or quickly the blade will open. What you need to get is an inexpensive screwdriver & bit set (I got one from Walmart for $6.00) that has at a minimum, T9 and T-10 Torx bits, aka "Star bits." The rest of the screwdriver & bit set will contain the usual flat head and Phillips head bits as well as hex head and square head bits. I've found that in 8 of the 10 knives I've purchased from Amazon use the T-10 screws. Of the remaining two, one uses a T-9 screw while the % other has a T-9 on one side and a T-10 on the other (that require adjustments on both sides of the blade handle). I also recommend getting some good gun lube or gun oil, loosening the set screws just enough to allow for the oil or lube to flow in between the blade and the handle, then tighten it incrementally by frequently checking the tension when flipping the knife blade open. Also, grab the flat of the blade in one hand and the handle in the other. Wiggle the knife blade left and right and tighten the screws until there is no more "wiggle room" and the blade still opens smoothly.

Answer:	You must first unscrew the top of the flashlight and remove the white plastic material blocking the connection between the batteries and the flashlight.
