Question:	It's stuck open
Answer:	The correct answer appears to be, "maybe". I received the Gen II variant with the safety at the top of the handle and no SOG stamp in the body (it's on the pocket clip instead, and embossed rather than cut-out). However, the knife featured in the picture, and received by many, appears to be the Gen I with the rear-mounted lock safety and the "SOG" cut-out in the handle. I think the Gen II is much better.
Question:	Is the knife supposed to open, with the spring assist, to the full open position? Right out of the box, I lubed it, and broke it in 10 times
Answer:	No, that would be an automatic release button !, And that is "NOT" what the "Slim Jim" has. The Slim Jim has a "THUMB STUD"screwed into the blade which is what you push to open the blade - then as the blade starts to leave it's resting place, the force of the launch mechanism is released to further assist the deployment of the blade! That's why it's called "SPRING ASSISTED - INSTED OF AUTOMATIC". So by pushing on the thumb stud to "Open or Deploy" the blade would be the same as hitting a button to release the action of the launch mechanism, (or spring) !

Answer:	First make sure the slide lock isn't engaged, as it can be locked in the opened or closed position. The slide lock is a small rectangular peice of metal positioned midway along the back side of the handle. Also, as another person said, once the slide lock is disengaged, the release must be pressed before the blade can be manually closed.
Question:	What is the volume of this pack
Answer:	Thanks for reaching out! The Slim Jim has a slightly softer kick than other knives in our product line. Reason is because it operates on a leaf spring which is not as fast as a coil spring. We recommend to flick the thumb-stud up as if you were flipping a coin. Put the back of your thumbnail against and under the thumb-stud and flick up instead of out. When you flick it out, your thumb tends to hit the blade a little which boggles the blade speed down. By flicking it up forces the blade to go up and out and into place. Also, try not to squeeze the handle when flicking the thumb stud.

Answer:	Yes. It would be great for school
Question:	Is this product water proof
Answer:	Looking at the picture, those little little sewn on nylon things are actually little loops. It's a system to attach gear to something. It will let you put a knife, flashlight, first aid kit, holster, or an additional pouch on the outside of the pack. This lets you use the full inside of the pack, and have a couple things outside. The items are very secure, but carrying like this allows immediate access, without having to open the pack. Some knife and multi tools sold on Amazon have an option for a MOLLE sheath, rather than a regular belt sheath. The loops are the sheaths will be too large for regular belt carry. The loop on the sheath opens, and slides though the MOLLE loops on the pack (usually 2 or 3 of them), and that's how it's held.
Question:	can i use it to carry books? like for high school
Answer:	Depending on the size of the pump it should be able to interchange with the bladder.
Question:	what does Molle equipped mean
Answer:	It is small for a rucksack, so I am not sure it would be suitable, unless you are training with a light load.

Question:	will this hold a weight plate
Answer:	Yes. I have put my OCPs in the backpack before. If you still have basic boots it may be a bit tougher, I suggest you get some Danner Tachyons or Oakley’s. They will squish better. But yes, you can fit your work uniform in here although I wouldn’t attempt to put any dress uniforms inside it lol.

Question:	If I use this pack while riding bike back and forth to work, will a military uniform and boots fit in it
Answer:	In my opinion yes, It is only a 3 day pack, depending on how you pack it should fit easily in an overhead or under the seat. There are only two small outside pockets not counting the compression straps with the flap, so all your stuff will not be hanging out on the sides in the back. Check the airline you are flying with to be sure but I have carried a much larger one with all the outside pockets stuffed and was able to use it as a carry on.

Answer:	Nothing is water proof. The bag does a good job in the rain, but don't set it down on something wet. There are hold in the bottom of the bag that will let water in.
