User questions & answers

Question: Can you lock out the side button
Answer: The charger that comes with the D58 plugs into a USB-A socket. Use a 2A USB adapter, just as the user manual says. When you do, the actual charge rage is 1.04 amps. The charger will get somewhat hot. The battery will require an hour or so to recharge. If you use an old 500mA USB adapter to supply the charger, it will work but it will take longer. The charger cable is a custom plug, not found anywhere else. Actual runtime in the drone is 15 to 18 minutes.
Question: Can the batter be replaced
Answer: It comes with extra props and guards. Haven’t looked, but seems likely you can buy them too.
Question: How do you charge this light
Answer: Hi there, I am sorry it is not waterproof drone.
Question: Do all fenix pd36r flashlights have a cree led
Answer: Looks like the D80 is brush-less while the D58 is not, however the D58 has a camera that can move from level to 90 degrees while the D80 does not. I prefer the D 58 because i can rotate the camera.

Question: how To activate the strobe function
Answer: COB. COB (Chips on Board) , is a new technology of LED packaging for LED light engine. Multi LED chips are packaged together as one lighting module.
Question: To charge the flashlight, do you charge the actual flashlight or the battery? ie. fenix pd35 is advertised as charging the 18650 battery as opposed
Answer: I have two of these flashlights and have not any issues with either charging or the port. I carry a flashlight for work, I have lost the charging port cover,,,its rather cheesy and not secured well. I regularly clean the port to keep it free of debris. The cover is the only issue I've had , plenty of light and the magnetic base is a huge plus. I would strongly recommend this flashlight. Enjoy.
Question: Can it be charged with a usb-c to usb-c cable, i.e. c2c? no other usb-c flashlight i know of currently supports that. could someone test this
Answer: Yes , email nebo and tell them the issue

User questions & answers

Question: Will the chosen brightness setting be the same every time the light is turned on/off
Answer: Usually. I have noticed if it is on the brightest setting when you turn it off, it sometimes drops down a notch (it has 4 settings). It only does that on the highest setting and not always. I have the previous year's model of this too and it does the same thing. It could be a safety feature because the brightest setting is really bright.
Question: Does this take 18650 flat top battery or button top
Answer: I use the AW 18650, or Orbitron 18650, they have a very slight button top. I only use protected cells on my 18650 lights, and I use the Xtar VP1 intelligent chargers.
Question: Where is this flashlight made
Answer: It is imported but don't where it is made. It is a well built light and I love it.
Question: Any thoughts on the 18650 vs 2x CR123 for brightness and run time? Are they the same, or which is one superior
Answer: The CR123's are brighter but you will spend a fair amount of money vs the rechargeable 18650's. One more tip, the 18650's will fit perfectly in one of those survival match tube's. Great for carrying a spare battery. This will be your favorite flashlight.
