Question:	Hello , i have a defiant thd-1000. the key pad is the same as a sabre. will the door sensor from sabre work with my defiant . thanks rgs
Answer:	For the alarm to go off the metal wedge would need to be depressed. You would also need to make sure that it would be in a firm spot so the product wouldn't slide or move because then the alarm won't sound. Question:	Can you turn off the chime mode when you are at home and want to come and go without it chiming
Answer:	I suppose you could affix it to a top window somehow, and when someone raised the window, the alarm would sound. Probably depends on how your windows are made. It would take some imagination and work.

Answer:	For the door to get over the plastic edge of the door stop and hit the metal plate to activate the alarm, the door needs a ~3/8" gap from the ground.This is an IMPORTANT detail folks need to know if your doors are snug to ground with carpeting in room, etc. Since the Q&A is easy to see vs slogging through reviews, I wanted to put this info up here.I was trying to enter a question so that I could then answer it with this info that folks really need to know. But Amazon wouldn't let me add an answer to my own question. :) Oops.I also tried to upload pictures showing a measuring tape next to the doorstop, and other views w the doorstop and door - but I learned I can't do that because I submitted a video with my review. Oops again!In the end, I went back and added the pictures of the the doorstop measurement and how the doorstop is visible if you look under the door from outside to the end of my video review (with text written over the images). Answer:	Hello, we do not have instructions or knowledge of how to lengthen the wire. The warranty will be voided if product is altered or tampered with. Thanks

Answer:	Been around 6 months and it has gone off around 20 times and batteries are still a full charge. This is the loudest alarm I have for the price.

Answer:	The unit I have attaches via adhesive. Bottom Line: neither magnetic or adhesive makes any difference. You want the sensor to be as low on the ground as you can get it so it reads water at the first appearance. I used extreme tape over my sensor to force the unit to stay flat on the ground at the lowest point (my garage has a little dip in the cement floor). If you have magnetic and it causes the sensor to sit 1/8" off the ground, you will have a lot of water loss before the alarm goes off. An adhesive patch could also lift the sensor off the ground by 1/16" also.

Answer:	Yes, the alarm has an off and on switch. You can remove it from the water, turn it off, and it will reset itself.

Question:	what is the dimensions of the actual pepper can? Length and diameter
Answer:	People saying 22 grams ar enot allowed do not know what they are talking about. 22 gram pepper spray canisters are in hundreds and hundreds of NJ stores including my local Home Depot.. If you call the NJ State Police they will tell you 22 grams is fine. Thousands of products in US are labeled "22 grams/ 0.75 ounce" General conversion charts out 22 grams at 3/4 of an ounce. On top of that if you go by weight, the liquid inside is actually slightly under .75 ounce and hte NJ statue does not specificy volume. Lastly if you look at findlaw of NJ law, not one singe person has been fined or prosecuted for 22 oc spray canister being "over 3/4 of an ounce."

Answer:	IT WORKS! I have only had to use it on a group of attackers once...the can was expired by 2yrs and it did the job. It's not an automatic shut down and a person who's adamant about getting you may still advance. This is really for that split second you need to get the heck out of that situation. Now on to "trial #2"...yup, I let someone spray me (don't try it folks! There's plenty of dummies on YouTube you can laugh at. My "test" was a little different. I'm a certified/professional firearm instructor and me and my team were wondering, "If someone sprayed you to try to do you harm/kill you...could you still get off accurate shots in time...?" ONLY ONE WAY TO FIND OUT AND I DREW THE SHORT STICK! I really did feel like I was a badass...for the first 2-3 seconds, and then it hit me! Our test showed that if you get sprayed and need to fire your weapon...it's not easy! Get it done and done right as soon as possible because within seconds you'll be wiping your eyes, and with the pepper gel, that just makes things that much worse as you spread it everywhere else trying to wipe it away. Best advice I have, and something we were smart enough to have ready. If you do use (carry this with you) the product, pick up a couple Sudecon Wipes or, Decontamination spray. It's not an automatic cure but, it does help a LOT if the spray/gel gets on you. If you have to get a little on you to get a lot on who/whatever you're in fear of, that's what you gotta do and it's nice to have a little relief close by.
