Answer:	100% yes. Any direct light to the front lense can cause artifacts to occur in you sight picture. Even looking at bright lights at night can cause this. Read up on gen 1 night vision to learn more about this type of night vision

Answer:	You can see and make out objects several hundred yards away, depending on the ambient starlight, moonlight, or city light pollution. Supplementing with the IR illuminator that is built-in, it works for me out to about 150 yards for a man-sized object. It projects a circle of light that fills about 2/3 of the field of view, regardless of the distance. It fades out for me past 150 yards, but you can pick up the reflection in the eyes of an animal about twice that far, so you can spot a deer or coyote out to 300 yards if they look your way.
Question:	How far can you see with it in the dark
Answer:	The front of the lens can magnify an image at different distances. This nv doesn't have a zoom button and shouldn't be used for long distances unless you have an additional ir light source.

Question:	Is this monocular good for bird viewing
Answer:	It works well for me, as I like to eye the Eagle's that nest in the trees nearby. And I enjoy watching various animals, in neighboring fields.the imaging is crystal clear with this monocular. Question:	Any place to add a neck strap
Answer:	The fourth photo thumbprint next to main one coming up to the left of that today shows clearly someone wearing or using a neck strap. Maybe there is a way to loop a neck strap through the so called small strap it comes with the other person mentioned. Anyway some how the photo on the Gray model not the black one clearly shows a neck strap applied to it. Maybe the black one does not have one. It is so hard to tell if a question goes to the item selected on a page to those who bought it or to the other model when mulitple items can be selected and reviewed and Q/A's go out to. Really Amazon so needs to improve this system. Or limited only one item sold per page period. I do wish they would turn back the clock to a more user friendly time when you searched on a specific item and brand it actually came up with that before it filled page after page of something entirely different or different brands and when you think not offered or sold on Amazon low and behold clicking on a few of the products shown and there below one is the item you asked for in the first place? I know they do not make it easy on shoppers. THey think they are but clearly not. Answer:	I don't have an exact answer but I think the difference is 2 or three stops.
Question:	Can you play back photos or videos on screen
Answer:	It will work with the D5300. You need to update the camera firmware, which is fairly easy. Update info and file at Nilon site. I recently updated my D5500, took 10 min. You will need an SD card that has been formatted in your camera. First you download the update file to your computer, click on it to expand the files. transfer the BIN file to your card, put the card in your camera and turn it on, answer yes or no and in a minute or so you will be updated. Complete directions at Nikon site. This will work with D3300 with update as well.
Question:	Can I use this monocular in complete darkness without light
Answer:	Yes. All Nikkor lenses with the DX format will work on the D5600.

Answer:	Yes, it does contain a range finder. It is an optical rangefinder based on a graduated reticle. It is not an electronic rangefinder where you press a button and get a number. To use the Vortex R/T (Ranging/Tactical), you need to know the approximate height of the object. That info, combined with the built-in reticle will give you the distance. An internet image search will give you a picture of the reticle, and several sites have info on how to use it. As an example, if a human (2 meters tall) viewed through the scope was 3 hash marks high (milliradians) then the distance would be 2 meters X 1000 / 3 (hash marks) = 666.6 meters (give or take). As a side note, I really enjoy mine, goes with me often on hikes. Well built and compact.

Answer:	Not easy to do... plus no reticle.... But use it behind a eotech with nv compatible holographic reticle and I think that it MIGHT be ok .... But man there's a lot of lovely nv scopes and thermals on here for not a whole lot more money.... I spent a a ton on my nv and thermal 6 to 24 x50 with the comp unit install.... Took 1 shot and it sight itself in..... And it comps for everything you can think of..... Seriously....it's an automatic aiming device basically.... Iv shot single hole group ever since I got it.... It factor in the elevation,wind, rain, humidity, Coriolis effect, mirage, barrel heat, the particular round you use, if you don't have the gun just perfectly level and if you move your cheek weld.... I mean.... I took my ex girlfriend son to shoot and he can't hit a pie plate at 25 yrds half the time and then I left him on my new scope..... The kid who can't shoot for the life of his, hitting 2 moa and under in 20 minutes at 100... Just spend the 1800..... And get fast detach mounts and use it for every rifle..... It will save 12 firearms to memory.... Question:	What is the difference between bak4 and bak7 prisms? which is better
Answer:	The card slot has a spring that locks the card in place when inserted. Push the exposed edge of the card into the slot with your fingernail until the spring lock engages and secures the micro sd card in place. The edge will be just slightly higher than the surrounding plastic. If you invert the camera and the micro SD card falls out, it was not properly inserted. To remove the card push it further into the slot to release the spring lock. The card should pop out.

Answer:	the Answer is yes and no. The variables in the ballistic calculator can be entered either through the scope itself or through the app on your device. Wind and humidity can be entered both ways. Distance is entered either with the built in range finder function or can be entered manually through the scope. Barometer pressure, altitude, and temp are entered automatically by sensors in scope. Hope this helps.

Answer:	Does not come with batteries. ***Important note*** .....do not buy CR123 substitutes. They typically put out 3.7 volts instead of the 3V using the 123s. I used a substitute and it fried my light.
