User questions & answers
Question: | Which will co-witness better, venom or the viper? i have suppressor sights on my gun and a milled slide. which of these will sit lowest on the slide |
Answer: | The actual base contacting the rail is 1 1/2". The unit itself is 4 1/2". My pop up rear sight is partially under this magnifier, but I just have to tilt the magnifier to the side and then I can pop up the sight, if needed. |
Question: | What is different between vortex venom and viper? What work best for pistol |
Answer: | I set mine facing the other way, but I don’t see why not. I know the mount can be use both ways and I do not see why the magnifier, which attaches to the mount, can not be switch around. I am almost 100% sure it will work, but you should contact Tacticon and ask them just to make sure. They are great people to deal with . Hope this help . |
Question: | Will this fit on an m&p pro core |
Answer: | Yes My RedDot is a Romeo5 |
Question: | Which glock mos mount to use for the viper or do i need a special mount from vortex |
Answer: | The reason they asked guys is because... 1. The lenses are less prone to fogging internally with pressure, temp, and humidity changes. 2. Nitrogen is an inert gas. Any possible contaniments during manufacturing will not cause adverse degradation in the materials as oxygen would. To answer your question though. I have been hunting and target shooting with this for years. I haven't noticed any fogging of the lenses in any conditions. I live in the upper mid-west where deer hunting in Nov often involves temps in the teens and snow. I have had this thing out in negative temps all the way into the upper 90's. No issues including being used in rainy conditions. I would say for the price it is doubtful. But you never can be certain these days. Hope this helps. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Will this fit on a h&r single shot rifle |
Answer: | It fits a Picatinny rail. You can likely install one if your firearm doesn't already have one. |
Question: | What is the expected battery life on this |
Answer: | Sorry for jumping in here late, but just wanted to add that John was 100% correct on his answer. If the brightness is set too high for the ambient light conditions, you can get a "starburst" effect. We recommend running red dot sights at the lowest brightness setting that you can still clearly see the dot (the exact setting will depend on ambient light) |
Question: | How easy will it be to see a man sized target at 300m |
Answer: | That shouldn't happen. Best is to contact them, I believe they will replace faulty red dot sights. The laser and red dot are independent from each other. If you push the Red Dot button it should turn on. & When you turn off you have to press it for like 5 seconds. Just contact the company. |
Question: | HOW CLEAR ARE THE RED AND GREEN DOTS |
Answer: | I have a magpul flip up rear and iron on the barrel. My red dot sight is mounted just in front of of the flip rear. My reticle when sighted hovers just above my front iron sight but I can see my magpul rear through the optic if need be. Hope this helps. I love this optic on my AR |

The Micro 3x Magnifier will work with any of our red dots but may introduce parallax. The Micro 3x will not work with prism scopes.
- The Micro 3x Magnifier adds next level 3x magnification to your rifle's red dot or holographic sight in an ultra compact, lightweight, and optically crisp package. The V3XM weighs in at only 6. 9 oz and only 9. 55 oz when including the mount.
- Anti-reflective coatings on all air-to-glass surfaces provide increased light transmission for greater clarity and low-light performance. The V3XM offers a wider field of view, better eye relief, a brighter image, and a more true color tone.
- Integrated quick-release mount allows fast attach/detach from your rail and a patented camlock desing quickly engages/disengages magnifier with direct pressure. Adjustable flip mount allows for right or left-handed use.
- The magnifier is shockproof and has been nitrogen purged for reliable water and fogproof performance in the field.
- Allows for lower 1/3 or absolute co-witness mounting heights and is ideal for shooters who want to increase the effective range of their red dot sight.
User questions & answers
Question: | Does this work with the T1 micro from aimpoint |
Answer: | I have the same site and it does work with it |
Question: | Will this work with my leupold freedom Rds |
Answer: | It did not mine. |
Question: | Why can't I order this here in California |
Answer: | Tighten the mounting nut fully. I have no issues on either one of my AR’s. |
Question: | Why can't it be shipped to California |
Answer: | I would say no. You could technically flip out around but the weigh distribution and function aren’t equal. These “flip left” magnifiers may seem odd initially but they don’t interfere with 45° buis or your FOV as much, won’t get hit with flying brass, weight’s on support hand side. |

Micro 3X Magnifier (V3XM)
Next level 3x magnification versatility when you need it for your red dot or holographic sight in an ultra compact, lightweight, and optically crisp package. Integrated quick-release mount allows fast attach/detach from your rail and a patented camlock design quickly engages/disengages magnifier with direct pressure. Adjustable flip mount allows for right or left-handed use.The Micro 3X magnifier will work with any of our red dots but may magnify any existing parallax. The Micro 3X will not work with prism scopes.
Micro 3X Magnifier Adjustments
The Micro 3X does not require any special sight-in—just zero-in the red dot as normal and add the Micro 3X behind. The dot-centering screws can be used to help center the red dot in the magnifier’s field of view. After it is mounted behind red dot, the dot may seem offcentered while viewing through the Micro 3X. This will not affect the point-of-impact. The centering screws can be used to move the dot up/down or left/right until centered. Do not force screws once resistance is felt and the end-of-travel range has been reached.
Micro 3X Magnifier Adjustments
Use the focus knob to achieve a sharp image. Turn the focus dial clockwise or counter-clockwise until image is as sharp as possible.
Micro 3X Magnifier Adjustments
To use the included flip mount, simply apply direct pressure and flip the Micro3X Magnifier to the left or right side (depending on mounting direction). To return, simply push magnifier back into original position.

User questions & answers
Question: | When i bought this it was $299.00. now its $249.00. why |
Answer: | It came to me in a brand new box. It also had a warranty card. |
Question: | Do you have a quick release levered mount with the same low profile as the stock Vortex mount you can recommend |
Answer: | Hi, Yes it comes with a sunshade. What an awesome scope it turned out to be. |
Question: | Is this a dual color ring |
Answer: | It ultimately depends on what you're mounting it to, but typically you will need high rings for the 50mm objective on a 1" tube. I put mine on a rimfire with an 11mm to pictinny adaptor rail. That raised it up enough for me to get by with medium rings, but otherwise I'd need high. |
Question: | When you guys received you spitfire, was the box in a sealed package or just a normal vortex box |
Answer: | Hi! It all depends on the rifle you own. As you know the lower the scope the better it is. The 50 mm front of the scope has to clear the rifle. I mounted this scope on my Ruger 10-22 with the med ring and it is OK . I also brought the high rings just in case I switch rifle so day. How this answer you looking for |

Question: | does this scope have night vision capability |
Answer: | The product was originally made in Italy, and some still are but a lot of Ray Ban products are made in China now as well as Italy.
