• What the Numbers Mean: The numbers for each scope tell you the scopeÕs power or magnification rating, whether the magnification can be increased or decreased with a zoom dial, and the diameter of the objective lens. So, a 3-9x40mm is a scope with a variable zoom magnification from 3x to 9x with a 40 millimeter objective lens.
• How Much Magnification: Because high-powered riflescopes have a smaller field-of-view than a lower powered scope, choose your magnification with the distance you will be shooting in mind. Use low power for close shots in brush or deep woods and high power when hunting distant game in the mountains, open fields and prairie.
• Fixed vs. Zoom Magnification: Variable power scopes, or zooms, offer the benefits of high, medium and low powers, all in one scope. Zooms are particularly advantageous in changing light, weather, environmental conditions or geographic locations and when you're hunting different types of game. Answer:	The scope will work just fine although the front objective is focused at over 50’. You may need to purchase different scope rings however.

Answer:	You could, but this isn't really a high quality scope for a large caliber rifle. A 22 mag would be the largest rifle I would put it on. Not sure if it can take the recoil from a 3030.

I think I paid about the same price for a simular scope about 15 years ago, which I accidendly bumped really hard and ruined it, I feel it's a great scope for the price and for my needs, I have it mounted on my 22 LR. Remminton Semi automatic rifle. with some slight lense adjustments it was ready to go. Joe.

Answer:	This scope is designed to fit any gun with the 3/8 dovetail cut into it on top of the receiver. These are 2 parallel groves 3/8 in. apart. that are found on most air guns, .22 rifles and crossbows. If those groves are there, the scope will fit. Hope thin info is helpfuk.

Answer:	I have it on a marlin 30-30 which kicks fairly hard. It kicks harder than the 50 cal muzzle loader i shot. I think he said he used 70 grain of powder. Scope is great for the price

Answer:	It can be used on a 10/22 and it will work just fine, but you might want to consider a smaller scope. The Ruger is small, light rifle, it wouldn't be right to saddle it with a large scope like this. You would be better using something in a 30 or 32mm diameter with see through rings so you can use the iron sights and the scope.

Question:	It says shockproof, is the gun actualy rated for use on an air rifle
Answer:	No they won't, these work on the 11mm rail that is on air rifles and many older 22s. The 597 uses a 22mm weaver rail that most centerfield rifles use, get medium height rings for a weaver rail and you are good to go. That's what works on my 597 with factory rail

Answer:	If the cricket has the smaller, rimfire / air rifle grooves or rail then yes, 11mm = 7/16" is what this fits.
Question:	What size rings come with this scope
Answer:	It will fit on a regular rail, no pin stop hole required. The pin stop on the scope ring is a allen wrench screw in the center of the ring. You can raise and lower it using a allen wrench.
Question:	Will this work on a Ruger 10/22 Carbine
Answer:	The pin is there to keep scope mount from sliding. Depends on the manufacture as to whether you can pull or tap pin out. Hope that helps.
