User questions & answers
Question: | What mount would this yse for a smith and wesson mp |
Answer: | Nikon .5 moa mounts |
Question: | Is it polyner ir aluminum |
Answer: | It is aluminum |
Question: | Was it made in China |
Answer: | No Philippines, glass is priority |
Question: | How to lock the turrets after doing zero |
Answer: | No need to "lock." To adjust to zero you pull up on the turret, turn to zero and release. The turret snaps back down. Now you can turn the turret to adjust for elevation (or windage) without losing zero. I am constantly adjusting elevation depending on brand and type of ammo, or, of course distance.. |

User questions & answers
Question: | is 223 model also 30mm tube |
Answer: | I believe that is a 1 inch tube |
Question: | What size scope Would I have to order for the front and rear, I mean the flip up type caps |
Answer: | 1.81 inches outside diameter for front. 45.97mm |
Question: | Is this scope compatible with s 12ga. shotgun (spot shoot gun |
Answer: | That would be a question for Nikon. In my opinion I would say it's a lot of scope for a shotgun. The big question would be if it could take the recoil from the shotgun and I would have to refer you to Nikon. |
Question: | Confused on the description. I will be installing on a 223 so is this the 30mm tube or 1 inch? Description says 30mm |
Answer: | The description is correct. Good thing you can put both 1 inch and 30mm tubes on a .223...it won’t discriminate |

User questions & answers
Question: | Is there set screws on the turrets so i can tighten them down |
Answer: | Yes, there are 3 hex screws on each turrets. I would recommend drop a little blue loctite glue on it after zeroing. The screws tend to loosen after firing several rounds (50 or more). |
Question: | how about the zero after 1000rds |
Answer: | If the 1000 rds were shot in a short time frame, Im certain the zero would hold since I havent had an issue with 500-600 rds. However, if you spread that 1000 out over a year or two, a minor adjustment may be needed, or not. Depending on how the weapon is banged around over time. Mine holds zero year to year, with maybe one exception from moving residences where the rifle was banged around a littke bit. But only a couple clicks in adjustmemt even then. |
Question: | What size is the tube if I wanted replace mounting comes with |
Answer: | They are 30mm. |
Question: | Sorry TruGlo but is there a way to rub off their white logos on the scope and base? I don't want to be a billboard |
Answer: | I don't have my scope/base with me to view the graphics but I'm sure the brand graphics can be removed, but I'm not sure it can be done without ruining the underlying finish. You might start by trying rubbing alcohol on the underside of the base to see if the finish holds up before trying it where it will be seen. If that doesn't work on the graphics try acetone (nail polish remover) again, try it on an unseen area first. A well used green scrub pad in conjunction with one of the solvents might help remove the graphics (if the solvents don't melt it) but rub gently to prevent damage to the underlying finish. But, if it is that is too much effort, you could just cover it with black electrical tape. |

Answer: | yes, it works great/... very accurate. |
Question: | would this scope be good for a ar |

User questions & answers
Question: | Is this scope brand new in box not a refurbished with full warranty |
Answer: | It came to me in a brand new box. It also had a warranty card. |
Question: | Does it come with sunshade |
Answer: | Hi, Yes it comes with a sunshade. What an awesome scope it turned out to be. |
Question: | What height rings do you need - medium or high |
Answer: | It ultimately depends on what you're mounting it to, but typically you will need high rings for the 50mm objective on a 1" tube. I put mine on a rimfire with an 11mm to pictinny adaptor rail. That raised it up enough for me to get by with medium rings, but otherwise I'd need high. |
Question: | I ordered medium rings..will they work with this optic |
Answer: | Hi! It all depends on the rifle you own. As you know the lower the scope the better it is. The 50 mm front of the scope has to clear the rifle. I mounted this scope on my Ruger 10-22 with the med ring and it is OK . I also brought the high rings just in case I switch rifle so day. How this answer you looking for |

User questions & answers
Question: | Will low height rings fit this scope & a remington |
Answer: | I would not use this specific one for a 308 as this scope has specific crosshairs for 223/556 that mark the bullet drop of the 223/556 round not a 308. There is probably a version that is for 308 or just regular crosshairs. |
Question: | Is it good in dark areas |
Answer: | Sure, I have mine mounted on a bolt action varmint rifle. |
Question: | will this scope hold up to the pounding of the AK47 recoil |
Answer: | It holds up just fine I have one on a 300wsm and on my 300wm |

User questions & answers
Question: | Dose it fit the Nikon slughunter scope |
Answer: | As long as it's a 40 mm diameter scope it will fit |
Question: | will this fit a bsa 3-9x40 scope |
Answer: | Should fit most 40mm scopes |
Question: | So this fits in the front of this nikon model sunshade spotting scopes, 40mm, black. that isn't threaded is it |
Answer: | The sunshade is threaded and will fit a 40mm scoped that is threaded. It will not work if scope is not threaded. |
Question: | Will this fit the Nikon P 308 4x |
Answer: | Yes, however it screws on the end of the scope vice being inset. So, if you are running lens caps you may have to shimmy the lens cap for snug fit. The m308 uses a 42mm rfd, and fits on end as well. So neither inset like other scopes do. |

User questions & answers
Question: | what is the overall length of this scope can some answer for me please |
Answer: | With the sun shade, it's 10.25" long.. I always use the sun shade, due to lighting conditions where I shoot.. |
Question: | What is the effective range of this scope? For |
Answer: | Im really picky, and while this scope offered EVERYTHING I needed, they dont go into detail of exact reticle sizes... the reticle to me is WAY too large. At 50 yards the 'cross' area is like .5" wide at 9x. AT 50! so at 600 thats half the width of a face. TiborasaurusRex (youtube) goes over the effective range of the .223"/5.56mm regardless of scope. |
Question: | Do I need a risor mount for this scope on my AR- 15 M&P model |
Answer: | I put a 1" Monstrum riser rail on my S&W M&P 15 Sport 2. The biggest problem was to get the proper eye relief for the scope, I had to mount the scope all the way to the rear of the top rail. That works but it makes pulling the charge handle a pretty tight maneuver. |
Question: | There have been complaints of a misaligned reticle, has anyone experienced or heard of this |
Answer: | Mine is slightly off, perhaps 2-3 degrees. some have complained about that will cause elevation or windage adjustments to change too. Yes, that is correct to a point. Let's stay that worse case scenario, the turrets and reticle were canted 45 degrees off from each other. That would mean any elevation or windage would equally effect both. But for every 1 degree, that would only result in 1/45 of a change in the other. that equates to .02" for every inch of elevation/windage. So if the scope has 1/2" per click adjustment at 100 yards, One click of windage/elevation would result in (unwanted) .01" in elevation/windage movement with a reticle that was canted 1 degree off. Even at 5 degrees, that is still only .05" (1.2mm) at 100 yards. The point is if that small of an offset really matters to anyone, they should not be buying a $90 scope in the first place. |

Question: | What is the closest focal range |
Answer: | 10 yards. is this a test? |
Question: | Will this work on a |

User questions & answers
Question: | What comes in the 6-24-50 scope box |
Answer: | My custom 700 Rem,.Bolt Gun. 308 Palma chambered @155 grains. General Plasterized Hart barreled Beast uses a 20 moa Leupold mount .... With ....Medium Height... vortex rings...... For my Hog Killin 56mm. Vortex |
Question: | Best scope ring height for bolt action use |
Answer: | No, it’s either Designed to work with Minutes of angle or mill radians the multiplayer for minutes of angle aka MOA is 1.047 or roughly 1 inch at 100 yds and with the 1/4 MOA turrets that’s roughly 1/4” at 100 yds both in elevation (up and down) and Windage (left to right) milliradian aka MRAD one milliradian is 3.6” at one hundred yards and the value of each click is 1/10th of a mil so each 1/10th is .36 of one inch for people new to scopes the MOA is usually easier to use however both measurements are angular so at 200 yds one MRAD is 7.2” and 1 MOA IS 2.094” to answer you’re question further the answer is no they are not Bullet drop compensation Reticles aka BDC but there is great information out there on how to better use you’re Reticle for range finding and instead of adjusting the turrets instead use the reticle like a BDC and use hold over values |
Question: | Is the scope specifically made for a certain caliber |
Answer: | I use Talley mounts and have it on a Remington Sendero in 300 win mag continues to hold zero after 500 rounds |
Question: | Does anyone have any data to support using this on a win 300 mag platform? curious if it can handle the recoil forces. thanks |
Answer: | Mine was manufactured in Portugal. It is my understanding from posts on CloudyNights.com Eyepiece Forum that Leica outsourced production there several years ago, so all new stock will be Portugal. |

User questions & answers
Question: | What does the honeycomb filter do |
Answer: | The battery is located behind the push button that turns on/off the illumination. To change it, use the provided tool to unscrew the cap holding it in place. To turn off the illuminated reticle, hold the push button down for 5 seconds. |
Question: | Where is the cr2032 3v battery located and how do you change it? also how do you turn of the reticle |
Answer: | There is a small/thin ring in front of the scope that protects the front threads. You can remove it with your fingers, once it's removed the front threads are exposed. You can then screw on the honeycomb filter. |
Question: | How do you attach the honeycomb filter |
Answer: | I can't speak for The Recoil of a 308 but I have it on an AR15 in .223 wylde and .300aac and I love it great BDC range determining reticle and FIRST FOCAL PLANE! The quality is well above the price I want another one |
Question: | Will this fit a Savage Axis |
Answer: | Yes. using the 1 X setting. However the field of view is small and there is some distortion as well. Keeping the correct eye relief is difficult when moving. While possible, it is not necessarily desirable. I have three of these and they are great. Hold zero well. One AR-47 (7.62x39), One AR Pistol (5.56mm). One AR .300 Blackout. For straight entry work I personally prefer a Bushnell TRS-25 with a .75 or .83 riser so that it co witness with the iron sights. |
