Answer:	You can it has a weaver style mount .I would suggest a reaction red dot instead as the distance you can shoot it really isnt long enough for a scope. I shoot about 15 yards with the sight it comes with and hit the center 99% of the time.

Answer:	Technically, yes. It is better to use a BB gun instead - it's easier to conceal, it less likely to fire unintentionally, and can be fired repeatedly rather than one-and-done. If you are going to use this as your defensive weapon, it is better to cock it but not load bolt/arrow into it and keep the safety engaged - if it fires then, no harm can really result. Most importantly, check your local laws and regulations.Self-defense note: if your attacker is trying to attack you with a concealed knife, the best thing you can do is wear riveted chain mail (it actually isn't horribly heavy) - if someone wants to stab you, they aren't going to tell you "I'm going to stab you," casually wait for you to get to your car and shoot them. If you're the type of parent who would look the other way when the neighbor's cat got a crossbow bolt shot through it then you shouldn't be considering anything but Nerf guns. This weapon is about in a class with Wrist Rocket slingshots, which are also not toys. I do not consider BB guns toys if they have enough power to shoot out an eye. If you would trust your kid to safely handle a .22 rifle, a Wrist Rocket slingshot or a powerful pneumatic pellet rifle then you should be able to trust the kid to handle this correctly also. If not then don't give your kid this or any of those other weapons either.As crossbows go, this is a very tame one but that doesn't mean it's safe to use unwisely or by a careless person. A real hunting crossbow has a lot more force than this pistol type bow does. Users of "real" crossbows might call this a toy but it's not. The setup is very flat shooting and I use the first (top) line for 15-25 yds., the second for around 30 yds. (26-35yds), the third line for 36-40 yds., and the fourth line for 40-45 yds.

HOW TO ADJUST FPS?

Take a shot at its center using the 20 yard aiming point on the reticle. If the point of impact is higher than the point of aim, turn the FPS speed selector dial to a slightly lower number.

If the point of impact is lower than the point of aim, turn the FPS speed selector dial to a slightly higher number.

Once the point of impact is the same as the point of aim at 20 yards the scope is calibrated for your crossbow speed. It is not necessary to adjust the FPS selection dial for other distances.

Question:	does the scope have 20-50 yards on the reticle
Answer:	Yes, however they did not accurately match up with my crossbow. I no longer use this scope for this reason. You will need to have access to at least 50-60 yds for practice, and bench test each one with your particular setup. There is no way that an off the shelf scope can have set pins such as this and be accurate, as there are way too many variables. Ie. Bolt length, weight, broad head weight, speed of crossbow etc. I have now switched to the Nikon Bolt XR scope, although more expensive well worth the money. They have a software that you enter all of your specific info into and it will accurately tell you which yardages for each dot. 20,30,40,50,60. Each specific bow will be +/- a few yds per category. I can and have robin hooded my bolt at 60yds with a bench rest.

Answer:	Same as most other scopes, you just turn the knurled part of the scope that's closest to the eye to focus it. If it has scope caps on it, you will need to remove the rear one to access the focus feature, then focus the scope by turning the knurled ring clockwise or counter clockwise, then reinstall the scope cap.
