Answer:	I think Fakespot may be a little pessimistic, BUT... if you filter by Verified Purchaser you get a different sense of things. (meaning Amazon knows they purchased it... YeS, you can review something on Amazon WITHOUT purchasing it). With the filter on there are 480 4/5 star reviews vs. 110 1/2 reviews. Without the filter it's 870 4/5 reviews vs 130 1/2 reviews. Answer:	Does not come with batteries. ***Important note*** .....do not buy CR123 substitutes. They typically put out 3.7 volts instead of the 3V using the 123s. I used a substitute and it fried my light.

Answer:	Yes, The ATN X-Site 4K Pro does include an IR Illuminator. However, if you want good night vision past 45 yards, purchase an aftermarket IR Illuminator. For the $$, this scope has a lot of features and the battery life is excellent.

Answer:	The viper co-witnesses perfectly with surpressor sights and I like the 6 MOA dot much better for pistol. Mine is mounted on the M&P core using the 5 plate and B screws.

Answer:	Im not a representative of vortex just a user but I believe the main difference is the size of the dot. Venom is a 3moa dot and Viper comes in a 6moa dot. Depending on what youre shooting and what distance would dictate which is better. In my opinion a 6moa dot would be better unless youre trying to shoot bullseye out to 50 yards or so. Just my opinion.

Question:	What is the furthest anybody has shot with this accurately
Answer:	My kit was the Glock MOS2 kit, which did NOT have a #1 plate (it had plates 3,4,5&6), but after some test fitting I found that the #5 plate fits the Vortex Viper, but leaves about a 1/8" gap between the plate and the forward edge of the MOS cut. To me, that is not a big deal. If you do NOT have a plate, there is an inexpensive option ($15.95) available from Amazon - TuFok Glock Sight Mount Plate - Glock 17 19 22 23 26 27 34 Rail for Install Pistol Red Dot Sight - which is a Picatinny rail that fits the MOS cut-out. You Vortex Viper comes with what you need to mount it on a Picatinny rail.

Answer:	That depends on where you run your cheekweld, if it's nose-to-charging-handle then you need the extended mount. If it's farther back from the charging handle then you need to standard mount.

Answer:	The PA 4-14x44mm w/ ACSS HUD DMR .223/.308 reticle should work just fine on a 30-06 Remington 700. The 30-06 and .308 rounds are very close ballistically speaking so you would be close on the reticle. We recommend using a ballistic calculator like the Strelok app to create a cheat sheet for the reticle for your specific loads.

Answer:	It is good to go for springers says Athlon but I have read reports of revolving reticles. In each case Athlon replaced the scope.

Answer:	Mine is mounted on top of and AR10 so low profile with 1 inch rings.

Answer:	Hi, Yes it comes with a sunshade. What an awesome scope it turned out to be.
Question:	Does it require high or medium rings for clearance
Answer:	It ultimately depends on what you're mounting it to, but typically you will need high rings for the 50mm objective on a 1" tube. I put mine on a rimfire with an 11mm to pictinny adaptor rail. That raised it up enough for me to get by with medium rings, but otherwise I'd need high.
Question:	Does it have bullet drop compensator
Answer:	Hi! It all depends on the rifle you own. As you know the lower the scope the better it is. The 50 mm front of the scope has to clear the rifle. I mounted this scope on my Ruger 10-22 with the med ring and it is OK . I also brought the high rings just in case I switch rifle so day. How this answer you looking for
