Answer:	I didn't really weight it as itself but it didn't add much weight to my gun. My Remington 700 with heavy barrel was heavy already.

Answer:	I dont see why not. You will need high rise scope mounts though. I have it on a Ruger American 30.06.

Answer:	No, the reticle is not illuminated per se...when the illumination is enabled it places a "red dot" in the center of the cross-hairs of the reticle. The red dot is visible in low light situations and will be very hard to see in daylight hours...but very handy for fast target acquisition in low light. Answer:	excellent for the price. Not going to compare to my Razor HD in glass quality or features, but $200 vs $2500, it's unbeatable value and warranty. I have at least 7 crossfires of different sizes on calibers from 22 to 30 cal. Clarity is good enough to watch the bullet trace from a 22lr hit paper at 100 yards at 24x and see all of the bullet holes. Clarity further out is still quite good as well. I highly recommend them.

Answer:	30 mm scope rings, definitely "High" mount separate rings or a Cantilevered AR mount with 1/4" - 1/2" risers below the AR mount.

Answer:	Not sure, I do not prefer Butler Creek scope covers, the scope comes with Vortex cover/caps, if I were to go with an alternative to the factory covers I would go with one of the bikini style that cover the entire scope, several manufacturers make them.
Question:	How far can you shoot with this
Answer:	That would depend on the setting. The optics on the scope are crystal clear but I don't see that it gathers more light than cheaper scopes. You get what you pay for. If you want world class or if you're only getting 1 scope to last for years and years then go buy a Leupold. If you're easy to please, get the vortex.
Question:	what size flip cap covers fit on here
Answer:	I don't know if this will work on your gun or not. I had a hard time making it work on my rifle, a .300 win Mag., but I did get it to work and the scope worked most excellent. I would recommend that you use a pictinney rail base with at least 15 MOA rise. I would also recommend that you go with the highest Vortex rings you can fine.

Multi-coated glass with Diopter Adjustment

Lens coatings make a significant difference in how bright and sharp the image will be. Without Anti-Reflective coatings, glass reflects four to five percent of light. Anti-Reflective coatings greatly increase light transmission, resolution, contrast, color fidelity, reduce reflections, and reduce light scattering and glare.

Diopter is the measurement of the eye’s curvature. By rotating the eyepiece, the diopter is adjusted to properly match each person’s vision. If the reticle does not appear clear, crisp, nor sharp, rotate the eyepiece until the reticle becomes clear and sharp. This adjustment should stay the same unless the riflescope’s operator changes.

Circle Dot Reticle

The Firefield RapidStrike 1-6x24 riflescope was designed for 3-gun competition and shooting close to medium range targets. The reticle is a second focal plane, minute of angle (MOA) reticle. This reticle is calibrated for 5.56x45 / .223 Rem. 55-grain FMJ ammo. The reticle was designed for a 100 yard zero.

Windage and elevation Adjustments

The Firefield RapidStrike riflescope has finger-adjustable elevation and windage adjustments with a locking, pop-up feature. These turrets must be pulled up to disengage the locking mechanism. Once disengaged, adjustments can be made. When adjustments are finished, the turret can be pushed back down to lock the adjustment. In order to make windage and elevation adjustments:

• 0.25 MOA Click Value, 80 MOA Total Adjustment, effective elevation Adjustment 23 MOA, 10 yards to infinity Parallax adjustment

Answer:	The rear cover needs to be removed to allow rotation of the eyepiece to bring the reticle into adjustment. This adjustment only needs to be done once for a particular user. After this adjustment the rear cover can be installed and does not rotate with any other functions of the scope. The front cover does not rotate with any of the scope functions.

In other words, there are a total of 20 MOA for the vertical line. The horizonal line shows 10 MOA on each side of the vertical line that shows 20 MOA total.

• The 1-4x24 Crossfire II riflescope is one of many configurations in the Crossfire II line. The V-Brite reticle uses the V-Plex format with battery-powered electronics to illuminate the center dot for hunters/shooters during extra-low light conditions.
• With long eye relief and an ultra-forgiving eye box, you'll be able to quickly get a sight picture and acquire your target. The fast focus eyepiece allows quick and easy reticle focusing.
• Anti-reflective, fully multi-coated lenses provide bright and clear views for the user. Capped reset turrets are finger adjustable with MOA clicks that can be reset to zero after sighting in.
• A single piece tube constructed from aircraft grade aluminum ensures strength and shockproof performance. O-ring sealed and nitrogen purged, the Crossfire II delivers waterproof and fogproof performance.
• The 2-inch offset of this cantilever mount positions the scope in a forward location, allowing the correct eye relief and head placement on your rifle at a height of 1.59 inches (40.39 mm) from the base. Weighs 6.7 ounces.

Answer:	yep mine only came with 1. For the 24 mm side
Question:	Does the mount sit on a standard picatinny rail
Answer:	The scope has no magnification at 1x and works like a conventional red dot sight like Aimpoint. There is no need to use the bindon aiming concept. This was a concept that was adopted for use with the 4x fixed power ACOG at close range. Although Heavy, the Viper is a great scope that pulls true double duty as mag optic and CCO. The USMC is evaluating this type of optic to possibly replace the 4x ACOG , as we speak. S/F Mike

Answer:	I have this exact combo in 6.5 Creedmoor. Looking at my old order, I bought "Vortex Optics Precision Matched Rings 30mm - Height 1.26 inches - Picatinny Mount " from Amazon and they work great for me. They're not cheap though, but neither was the scope.
