Answer:	Yes, the end is open.
Question:	What is the length of holster
Answer:	That one is 4 in Long. I wanted one that was 6 in Long and contacted the company and they told me to send it to them and they would get the proper one right out to me. The bottom end is open so I was still able to use it as a holster I just don't want my front sight exposed which is why I want a full length holster. It's a good quality and certainly hangs at just the right height with minor adjustment.

Answer:	It's about 19-20" long. It adjusts the length from your belt. It can go around a leg about a good 21". My son had a lot of strap left over.
