Answer:	I don't use the straps. I have never taken the straps out of the plastic bag they came in. I use 2 ratchet straps.

Answer:	The appendix version is straight up and down. The FBI cant is a slight forward cant on the holster. Usually about 15 degrees, designed to be worn slightly behind the hip.

Answer:	This particular holster probably won't, as it is molded to fit a revolver, not a semi - automatic pistol. I would search the manufacturer's website for their particular holster model that is made for that model of Ruger pistol, then search Amazon for it.

Answer:	I do not know. I have a 380 Sig Sauer, 380 Smith & Wesson and a 380 Ruger. It fits all 3.

Answer:	I bought this for LC .38+P and it fit well so if they are about same frame size I would say yes but that was a Ruger

Answer:	To me, the the 38p and 22 look similar. The 38p may be a little fatter. You can check specifics by going on the Ruger website and checking dimensions. Hoppe this helps.

Answer:	It is not designed for a 3" barrel but the bottom is open so if it fits you would have the front of the barrel exposed. I wouldn't use it.
Question:	Is the “s&w n frame snub nose” option compatible with the smith wesson model 627 performance center with 2.625” barrel
Answer:	My S&W 638 has a 1 inch barrel and there is a half an inch space left to the end of the holster. You would have approximately one and a half inches of barrel sticking out of holster.
Question:	Does this fit a smith & wesson 38 special airweight? i see airlight as an option, just wanted to double check
Answer:	Well, I’m not familiar with the 340PD but since it’s a J frame is should fit fine. Must be hot to handle given the 340 is an airweight. You can not go wrong with this holster. I love mine and carry a number of snub and 2 1/2 revolvers in the holster. For the money, not a better product on the market...

Answer:	When I put my clip onto my pants I usually have to loosten my belt in order to get the clip on. I don't mind a little extra work because the clip keeps the holster and gun nice and secure inside my waistband. I love this holster and highly recommend it. Question:	Does it fit a 3 inch 5 shot S&W pistol
Answer:	It is perfect for a S&W Double Action Revolver made in 1884... The barrel is just the right size that it doesn't snag, but slides right through, and the actual gun fits perfectly. The hammer doesn't stick out. The only thing sticking out is the black handle with the beautiful S&W stamp. Granted: if I am understanding your question correctly, then we are talking about a 5-shot antique revolver made before 1899... However, these oldies do not use 38 SPL as I am sure you know. You can't use jacketed ammo. It has to be lead, and 38 SW caliber

① You don't need to soak the leather before braking in like you would do for any other leather holster.

② Because the interior of the holster is soft, it will not damage the finish of the weapon so that you don't need to wrap it into a plastic bag either. 

③ As you holster the weapon, you want to give it a few twist to expend the leather, this will allow the gun to fully seat inside the holster. (Please make sure your gun is unloaded while fitting it in the holster for the first time).
