Answer:	Don't be insulted, but, your question includes two descriptors that are mutually incompatible. There are two size versions of the browning 1911-380. A full size with overall length of 7.5 inches and a 4.25 inch barrel. The compact version is 6 7/8 in overall length with a 3 5/8 inch barrel. This holster fits my full size 1911-380 with the 4.25 inch barrel perfectly. The muzzle end of the pistol is approx 1/4 inch inside of the muzzle end of the holster. If you have the compact with the 3 5/8 inch barrel the pistol muzzle will be about 5/8 of an inch further inside of the holster. The grip and trigger guard area are the same in both sizes of pistols, so this should work on your pistol. Unless you have the picatinny rail version, then it won't fit. I tried it on my other browning 1911 with the rail and its a no go. In short the holster should work if it is without the rail in either length barrel. The short barrel compact will have more empty space at the muzzle end of the holster. The browning website can help you determine what version you have or just measure the overall length of your pistol. Hopefully this helps

Answer:	No. It will only fit any 1911 without the rail. I made that mistake of buying it without reading the description. If you want a good holster for around the same price that WILL fit that model 1911, get a Blackhawk! Serpa CQC holster. Then you dont have to fiddle with the retention all that much and you can angle it for the perfect draw

Answer:	Doesn't seem to but then, to me it's just a tool like a hammer or pliers. I don't mind wear marks. The holster is plastic without a liner. I am very pleased with my two (GL26 and Colt 1911)
