Answer:	Surprisingly, they have a good sound, not much bass but still sounds good.

Answer:	Passive, but do very well at blocking high noise levels. I use them while mowing and weedwhacking a Campground while listening to my favorite music.

Answer:	I don't think I have a large head, but my two previous headphones would not reach my ears with the harness over the top of my head- I had to slide it to the rear. This pair fits over the top with extra expansion still available in the harness.

Answer:	The inside sticker on a pair of these purchased in 2020 shows that it is "Made in China". The production country doesn't always indicate the quality as many name-brands have been outsourced to China.
Question:	These being 55 ohm models, can you really get by without a headphone amp? I'm coming from Grado SR80s which sound fine without an amp, imho. This is for personal use, no mixing or DJing. Probably using a laptop or my Cowon MP3 player usually
Answer:	Note : I'm hard of hearing (severe to profound, with more loss in the higher frequency) Comparing these to a Sennheiser HD 280 Pro that I am replacing (the right side died from a bad wire after just a year), using my desktop computer and my Samsung Galaxy J7 Star phone as a reference (using Google Music). On my desktop PC, which is basically your typical RealTek type of integrated sound card, they are a bit on the quiet side, but possibly audible enough for most people with a normal hearing range, but I am able to hear the vocals and bass, just more quietly than I like. The HD280Pro above was a louder by default (but has a higher impedance oddly enough). On my mobile phone, it's louder and while it may not be cranking it out, it's definitely loud enough for me to enjoy without a problem. When paired with my Tascam DR60Mk2 4-channel audio recorder, using the computer output into CH1/CH2 XLR inputs at a 'LOW' gain setting, and headphones plugged into the Phone monitoring 3.5mm jack with an output volume around 6~8 depending, it is much louder and closer to what I prefer. Also with the amplication provided on the tascam (Which is overkill for computer purpose, and meant more as a field recorder) with a Low gain setting is a very clean signal to the headphones and definitely loud enough for someone who is close to deaf as I am. Nutshell : even with me being hard of hearing, using the headphones with a mobile phone or computer directly, it's loud enough for me to hear it, even if it's not like "jamming". Sidenote : Compared to the Sennheiser, these are semi-open backs (versus a closed back), which means not only do the K240 exhibit sounds that other people in the room will be able to hear what you're listening to easily, it also means that as I'm typing on a mechanical keyboard with 'red' switches, I can hear my clacking typing while music is playing on the headphones.
Question:	What is better for recording and mixing guitar, vocals (for metal). And mixing them. AKG 240 or Audio-Technica ATH-M50? Why
Answer:	I can't comment on the ATH-M50, as I haven't used one yet. The AKG 240 however is a very good set, but I wouldn't use headphones to mix final masters. Especially not when you have to listen to screaming guitars. For tracking vocals you should be carefull as a sensitive mic would "listen" to the headphones too. Not always welcome when recording soft passages. Hope this helps

Answer:	Hello, It all depends on what you are looking for, HD 569 is a closed type headphone, it isolates you from your environment and vice-versa (ie: the sound is contained within the headphones). This is perfect for critical listening or a situation where you do not want to disturb/be disturbed. While HD 579 is an open type, it means that it avoids adverse resonating effects in the earcup thus offering best possible sound reproduction with the utmost in transparency. For sound quality, HD 569 is better, it does have strong and juicier bass.
Question:	do they have batteries
Answer:	They do not need batteries.
Question:	Is the headband replaceable on the 569? Also, what replacement ear pads are compatible with this model
Answer:	Because the wire runs from the left ear cup through the band to the right, I doubt you could replace the headband without replacing the whole unit. Fortunately the headband is highly flexible and very durable; so you may not need to replace it in the life of the headphones. As far as the ear pads themselves, I believe they are the same as the rest of the 500 series.
Question:	Hi, differences between 598cs and 569? also I'd like to know if it is possible to use v-moda boompro cable or similar instead of provided. thanks
Answer:	I have both and the sound is IDENTICAL. The 598cs is a special Amazon Only model. The builds are a bit different, and I do find the HD-569s a tad more comfortable (in the headband). Again, absolutely NO DIFFERENCE in the sound.

Question:	since there are the vents on the side, does the sound leak? can others hear it
Answer:	These headphones are semi open back design. They sound much airier and natural compared to the closed back kind design. However on the downside, they do leak to some extent, specially on higher volumes. Others will be able to hear the higher freq. but will not be able to distinguish what is being played. Hope this helps.
Question:	How do these compare to the Sennheiser HD 598 Headphones
Answer:	I own both sets. The Sennheiser HD 598 and their predecessors HD 595 (see my review) are extremely SMOOTH, headphones you can fall asleep to. The Beyerdynamic DT 990-Pro 250 ohm are ANALYTICAL headphones. You will not fall asleep with these as they demand your full attention. Different purpose I would say.
Question:	I see alot of reviews saying these headphones fatigue fairly quickly. I saw simuliar views on the grados and after an hour they began to really hurt
Answer:	This is a common complaint, but let me clear things up a bit. Treble can sound fatiguing for two reasons: 1. energy storage in the treble, 2. loud treble. Energy storage is very bad, think of when you ring a bell. After the initial strike the bell continues ringing for several seconds. You don't want your headphones to do this, because not only will you get loud fatiguing treble, all the notes will blend together. An eq will not fix this. The second reason is having clean treble that's just louder than the rest of the spectrum. Grados are fatiguing for the first reason, DT990s for the second. The DT990 actually have very fast treble (no ringing), there's just a good 4-6dB bump from roughly 4 or 5khz up to about 8 or 9khz. If you tune that down with an EQ they sound great. Honestly I don't even use an EQ anymore, but if it bothers you and you have an eq, it's easy to fix.

Answer:	The point of these is purely sound quality and comfort, not portability. For the 80ohm you might be able to use ur phone, but for the 250s u need a dac/amp.

Answer:	It cuts out everything for a very short time. I expect that the electronics does not distinguish between the different noise levels but just reacts to the loudest noise. The noise is not totally gone but is muted again for a very short time.

Answer:	I agree with Branford, and Lewis implies it. The question will result in misleading answers. The impact on hearing depends on the frequency: the higher the frequency the less dB needed for damage. A gunshot generates 140-190dB* (http://www.dangerousdecibels.org/education/information-center/noise-induced-hearing-loss/); lowering the dB by 22dB would still be dangerous to your hearing. The problem is that the components of audio and hearing are far from linearly related. According to the website I cite, they say that a tractor (100dB) can damage your hearing with one day of exposure.The benefit of the hearing protectors is it cuts off sharp, loud noise. If you were to be in an environment where there is continuous (non-punctuated) noise, these won't help. Bottom line: they are sufficient even in a cement-walled firing range with AR-15s, 44mag, etc., blazing.*I do not know where they got the number 190dB. The amplitude gets high enough that the air can no longer sustain it. The air "breaks." The maximal amplitude is between 132dB and 140dB, depending on how far from the source and the frequency and your altitude (believe it or not higher altitudes can sustain higher amplitudes longer because the molecules don't smack into each other as much). Think of the waves like that you can create with a Slinky: there is a point when the Slinky deforms (breaks). What happens is the air heats up, scattering the wave front. Ever put your finger in an ultrasonic cleaner bath? It feels hot. The amplitudes of ultrasonics do not need to be very high to cause wave-to-heat conversion.
