User questions & answers

Question: Does it come with a Ferro rod
Answer: I don't think they have arch support and the insole is covered with soft material but it's firm. They have a soft comfortable bed and have more support than most slippers.
Question: is this an american made knife
Answer: They run big. Go down a half size. I am 5 1/2, but often buy 6 for width. I bought a 6 and they are so loose that they feel like they will fall off. They are new, out of the box and will also stretch since they are suede.
Question: how does this knife perform on bushcraft tasks
Answer: Yes these slip on easily. You might have to wiggle your heal a little but I think you could get them on. They are very warm and comfortable.
Question: Can this knife be crossed drawn
Answer: In China

User questions & answers

Question: Is this knife fulltang
Answer: I would think so. I know a narrow width is usually an A. Than medium width. And wide would probably be an E.
Question: Will the sheath pouch hold the Schrade survival kit sk
Answer: Yes, because I ordered 8.5 and they're little snug. But never be without them.
Question: How long is this knife
Answer: 10.5 would be better
Question: What is the quality of the knife and sheath? Also would this stand up to abuse
Answer: Sorry, it only comes in regular width. Footprint USA is an authorized seller for UGG on Amazon
Question: Can you slide it in the sheath 2 ways? Looking at the pics it looks like it can only go in one way
Answer: We received genuine Ugg’s.
Question: is it isa or taiwan
Answer: Yes I believe so...
Question: Where is the tanto blade version? Is it still for sale anywhere
Answer: Size Large is for sz 9 to 10 shoe. They run pretty true to size. Very comfortable and wear well. The sole is vinyl so can be worn outside. Brand I go to for slippers.
Question: Is not full tang blade
Answer: Definitely order bigger.
Question: Does it have a warranty
Answer: They are true to size. Once you start wearing them they they loosen up. I wear a 9 1/2 and the large (size 9-10) fit as they should. Hope this helps!
Question: Which handles are more comfortable, the schf37 or the schf52. is it hard to hang onto the model 37 while chopping. i cannot decide between the two
Answer: There are warehouses all over the world, including where you live. Amazon is a big company and does business all over. Some things are in house and others are in different places, that's the nature of the business. Always look at the dates and if it's from a third party seller, then make your decision. Hope this can help someone.
Question: Does anyone know of a leather sheath that fits the schf
Answer: I also normally wear 8.5, but actually wear an 8 in these slippers. They do stretch out, but I’d be walking out of a 9.
Question: what is the Weight of knife alone without the sheath
Answer: I go down. I wear 8.5 shoes and an 8 in these slippers. They will definitely feel tight at first, but they stretch. The 8 fits me perfectly.

Answer: They are sharp and they are good quality but the machete is actually a huntin knife. I was VERY DISAPPOINTED.
Question: My friend just bought this combo, but it was not the same as pictured. Does that happen often when ordering this item
Answer: Um i didnt order the exact combo. I ordered mine separately but mine came with what i wanted so no i havent gotten the same problem. Amazon is doing great with my orders.
Question: Can this product Cutwood very easily
Answer: It's a Hatchet! What do you think? The "knife" like thingy is a Parang. It's also sharp! But it IS basically just a big knife. If you need to split logs, get a real axe, or a Maul. In 50 years of camping, I personally have NEVER had a need to split or cut wood. But yes - They can both OBVIOUSLY cut wood! Some people kids. That's like asking if a Boat can float on water...
Question: Do both items come with sheaths
Answer: Yes

User questions & answers

Question: Does the knife have a 90 degree flat spine
Answer: Yes, the spine is flat and perpendicular to the sides of the blade.
Question: What country is it made in
Answer: Made in Taiwan
Question: Do you think it will ruin the blade if i sharpen it with a Smith's PP1 Pocket Pal Sharpener
Answer: Hi, Don't get the Smith's Pocket Pal (the quality is low compared to the Lansky Sharpeners). Buy either a Lansky Blade Medic or a Lansky Quad Sharp (both sharpeners under $15.00). Both are all metal construction (not made of plastic and can take years of rugged abuse without falling apart. Blade medics are my go to in all my packs and bugout bags because they are easy to add a razor sharp edge to your knife very quickly. They have preset 25 degree sharpeners in carbide and ceramic. Also, it has a ceramic stone for free hand honing and a round diamond file for serrated blades. I've always had razor sharp blades using the blade medic. The Quadsharp has four preset carbide sharpeners set to 17, 20, 25, and 30 degrees as well as a white ceramic honing tool to remove the burs from the blade edge. Finishing up with a leather or polyester strop is always a good idea (if you aren't familiar with honing with a ceramic rod/stone which with my sharpening skill works just the same if not better). Remember, ceramic is harder than steel. A little fact: Ceramic stones/rods come in a variety from course to ultra fine. Ultra Fine, Black, Ceramic Stones have been (and still are in other countries) used to sharpen medical scapels to cut open flesh during surgery. The scapel doesn't need to be stroped after using a Black Ceramic Stone. As for me, I purchase the ceramic rods below and use them free hand to keep my knifes razor sharp (the 4 1/2 in for knife cases and bugout bags and the 8 1/2 for general home use): 4 1/2 inch Ceramic Sharpening Rod https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00AFWPHV0/ref=pd_aw_sim_200_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=QPRBE7Z8C16T5BC4T5WG&dpPl=1&dpID=31C2G1KnIbL 8 1/2 inch Ceramic Sharpening Rod https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00AFWNNPC/ref=mp_s_a_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1517075475&sr=8-10&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=Ceramic+sharpening+rod Genuine Arkansas Black Surgical (Ultra Fine) Pocket Knife Sharpening Stone Whetstone 3" X 1" X 1/4" in Leather Pouch Bap-13A-L https://www.amazon.com/dp/B015AA288G/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_pcmBAb32HDKEG Lansky Blade Medic https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0085PPSIQ/ref=pd_aw_fbt_200_img_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=VZSSQ3XGGZ505HPDWJ6P Lansky Quadsharp https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01BE8KCN6/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1517075822&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=lansky+quadsharp&dpPl=1&dpID=418TUEPisEL&ref=plSrch Sincerely, SurvivalGeek (YouTube)

User questions & answers

Question: Does this come with a ferro rod and a sharpener
Answer: The handle size will be fine for a little bit of a smaller hand. The question is do you have the grip strength to maintain control of the knife when using it.
Question: What are the dimensions of the knife blade; knife handle and overall length
Answer: I want to say 5\16, youtube it.. very nice thick knife almost as thick as my becker BK2.
Question: What is the thickness of the blade
Answer: I don't have an schf36 but I do have the schf9 which is similar. I find the 3N to be a better knife. So much so, I bought a 2nd one for my son. It has a nice large grip. My hands are big so this knife fits perfectly. Good blade shape. Easy to batton and do other bushcraft activities. I'm glad I purchased this knife. It's my new "go to" knife for camping and hiking. It replaced my Becker BK2.
Question: what is clam packing i have seen thst before on other items anyone
Answer: Yes, the sheath has a belt loop. It is made of cordura? or the same nylon weave that the rest of the sheath is made of. The sheath is kind of wimpy. It is adequate but not outstanding. A shame because the knife, while heavy, is real nice.
Question: Does it have a warranty
Answer: 78 x 78 x 53 inches aprox. 6’5” x 6’5” x 4’4” feet aprx. (L x W x H )
Question: Which handles are more comfortable, the schf37 or the schf52. is it hard to hang onto the model 37 while chopping. i cannot decide between the two
Answer: It would have to be a large suitcase if at all. It does not fold up very small.
Question: Does anyone know of a leather sheath that fits the schf
Answer: Very light 3-4 lbs
Question: what is the Weight of knife alone without the sheath
Answer: I’m not sure but it is light. I would say less than two pounds.
Question: I have abut smaller than average hand will the handle be to big
Answer: Approx. 9lbs. Thanks!
Question: What is the thickness of the steel
Answer: Hi there! Its 48" center height.
Question: How does this compare to the schf36? i'm looking for a sturdy bush craft knife for robust work; i have a smaller benchmade for more precise work
Answer: Hi there. The carry weight is 8.9-lb .
Question: Does the sheath have a belt loop on it
Answer: I use it in our car with 12 volts so not sure for 24

User questions & answers

Question: On this blade and some of Shrade's other ones I have seen complaint and pictures of breakage. Has this issue been resolved
Answer: 1/4" but I've cut through some thick stuff with it
Question: Is the handle long enough for a two handed grip? Thanks for answering, in advance
Answer: The machete itself does not state exactly where it's made. From my research about Gerber they state they still make many of their knives in Portland, Oregon since 1939. The small leaflet doesn't state where it is exatly made either. I hope and assume it is made in Portland. Hope this answers your question.
Question: Weight of Machete
Answer: I would have to say no. There Gator Bolo is listed as full tang. This one is not. So far I haven’t had any issues with mine. The Bolo is quite a bit more money than this one.
Question: What is the blade length, how sharp did it come
Answer: How big is the hole. Lol.. I got it as a gift. Will ask my friend and get back to you.
