| Answer: | You are correct in stating that it just slips in, however, it is a very snug fit and because it sits so far down in the sheath it does not just fall out even when holding it upside down. If you were to forcefully try to eject it while inverted it will come out. If you wear it as intended you won't have this happen. It is extremely sharp and solidly built. Very high quality workmanship in my opinion..especially for the price. |

| Answer: | I've never subscribed to the theory that every cutting task requires a special knife. The Buck Skinner can likely be used for many cutting chores, but skinning and caping are it's strong points. Not as hefty as an original I had from 40 years ago (gifted that one to a guide on a mule deer hunt in the 80's), but the design works very well. I also prefer the 'old school' flap style sheath, but hey, things change! You cannot beat the warranty and sharpening service. I had a General and a Skinner which I returned for refinishing and sharpening, and they were stunning when I got them back. Buck stands behind their products! |
