Diameter vs lb. is confusing as a certain brand braid is notable for having break limit 3 times of that quoted. 10lb is really 30lb and again memory I have one with 30lb really.50lb..and absolute 0 strech. Kevlar line. Tough stuff. I would expect the line wouldn't be good for trout but great for bass pike and catfish. Wish I were allowed to mention the brand it's my favorite but I think it's against Amazon rules. Catch em all!!

I have always bought braided since then at $13 microfilament 50 lbs 150 yrds and the best part is that you have a smoother cast, not even a single birdsnest, and it smaller in diameter (thinner) than the plastic line.
