Answer:	The assembly is no different than buying any other rod and reel, the reel affixes to the rod and is clamped down by the pressure screw on the lower handle. You extend the rod by pulling each section out, being careful to keep the guides in line. The easiest way to add line to the spool is to run line down the guides, tie it to the spool and reel it onto the reel until full. Remember to apply some tension to the line to get it packed tightly on the spool. It doesn’t need to be a lot of tension, but enough so it wraps tightly.

Answer:	The only difference in a casting rod would be slightly smaller rod eyes since these spinning rods could easily double for a casting rod due to their under size rod eyes. I would suggest a larger type saltwater bait cast so it will seat better .

Answer:	Just had an Okuma Rockaway in my hands...Very nice carbon fiber rod. Similarly light weight as Fiblink, same skinny butt section, same matte charcole black/dark gray color. The Rockaways tend to be medium power and action. Guides probably superior. The Fiblinks tend to be heavier power/faster action. Other than that they could have come from the same factory. I like the Rockaways Okumas a lot....

Answer:	I have and i have had no problem landing strippers 50inches I do not have any available pictures but I line my reel with 30lb braid and I have no problems

Answer:	If you are referring to actual weight, then no it is not heavy.... I consider my 7' version to be stout.....Iwouldn't fish TARPON with it......10-15lbs max....I believe this rod alsomes in a 8' and a 10'......I will say it is a good value and the rod is balanced.

Answer:	I bought 2 of these 3 years ago, Amazon had a special. I use them primarily for chunking, they are still in very good shape. They are a bit stiff but very durable. After you break them in a little "memory"; they start to give a little. The reel is ,"ok at best, 1 ball bearing with mono." After awhile I switched the reel out with a Okuma b65 and threw some power pro braid on it; now it casts much further. All in all the rod is better than average the reel is just average but durable. I also tried this rod for plugging, because of the rods stiffness you get a faster action but you also get a bit of work out too. This combo is heavy. I Landed a 40lb skate with it last year at ISB state park NJ last year with no problem :) I hope this helps, tight lines.

Answer:	I agree with the other posters. A medium action 7-8 foot rod would be better for the pier. 10 foot would be a bit ackward on a pier. I have several 8 foot Okuma Tundra rods/reels that I use for freshwater, saltwater, surf and pier, and catfishing, and find them perfect for my applications.

Diameter vs lb. is confusing as a certain brand braid is notable for having break limit 3 times of that quoted. 10lb is really 30lb and again memory I have one with 30lb really.50lb..and absolute 0 strech. Kevlar line. Tough stuff. I would expect the line wouldn't be good for trout but great for bass pike and catfish. Wish I were allowed to mention the brand it's my favorite but I think it's against Amazon rules. Catch em all!!

Answer:	I have owned one and is has held up surprisingly well. Much better than one I bought from a big box store. My only problem was one of the medal eyelids came loose but I was able to glue it back with gorilla glue and its been fine. I love this rod combo. I keep it in my truck all the time so im always ready to just hit the water if I get the itch to fish.

Step 1: Connect the Reel to the Rod

1.Loosen the reel seat (on the rod)

2. Place the reel foot into the reel seat and tighten.

Step 2: Spool the Reel

1.Tightly hold the line a foot away from the reel

2.Place the line around the notch of the reel once.

3.Turn the reel until the desired amount of line is on the reel.

Step 3: Stretch and String the Rod

1.Stretch the rod and tighten it counterclockwise.

2.Place the line through each of the rod guides.

(Start at the bottom guide and end at the tip.)

Step 4: Tie the Knot

1.Place the line through the eye of the hook.

2.Tighten several knots to ensure the knot won't come loose.
