Answer:	Anywhere from 3/0 to 5/0 should be plenty depends on the fish

Answer:	i don't see why they wouldn't work for that far as I know they don't use special type of hooks just for ice fishing they should work fine I use mustad hooks most time gamakatsu hooks are very good ones too very sharp
