User questions & answers
Question: | Will this come with a quick release |
Answer: | 🐱🥣 Hello and thanks for reaching out to Tiki Pets about our cat broth! This product specifically is made in Thailand. Overall, we are committed to quality and food safety and choose our manufacturing facilities carefully. We strive to source the best quality ingredients from the highest quality suppliers. We hold our manufacturer in Thailand to the same high standards as we do our US manufacturers. Thailand is a reputably producer for not only pet food but human food around the world. Thanks again for reaching out and let us know if you have other questions about our Tiki Cat Savory Broth! |
Question: | How much does the 10" propane auger weigh with blade attached |
Answer: | My cats refused to eat this product. Even the stray cat turned it down. Don't worry about phosphorus, buy something else. |
Question: | Does the P1 come with a blade guard |
Answer: | The food I received was not Pate. My cat won't eat it. Has to be flaked or chunks of meat. |
Question: | Hey amazon, your higher priced than others on the net and w the recent shipping flaws youve had,why buy from you |
Answer: | I'm afraid that all commercial cat food like Meow Mix and Fancy Feast and the like will have crap in them. I have six cats and it gets expensive. I feed them grain free dry food and in between give them wet food. You have to go up in price with the wet food, but sometimes, the taste isn't always that great. I suppose Iams and Science Diet would be better for you in the wet food range. |

Refined Propane Power
In 2014, Eskimo introduced the HC40, the first ice fishing power auger designed from the ground up to maximize the benefits of high-octane, high-compression propane fuel. Rather than simply tweaking an existing gasoline engine to use propane, Eskimo's engineers designed an entirely new engine. The release of Eskimo's P1 Rocket Augers builds further on the success of the HC40. The P1 features updated styling, reduced weight, weldless cast bottom and an all-new transmission that results in astonishingly fast drilling speeds.
Cleaner Running & No Mess
Propane has many advantages over gas including no mixing of fuel and oil, no messy spills or leaks and less exhaust fumes. You can also transport it inside your vehicle without worrying about cleanup or stains.
Easy Operation
Eskimo propane augers are very easy to use. Simply twist on a readily-available 1 lb propane bottle, clamp it down, flip the switch to 'on' and pull the over-sized mitten grip recoil. You no longer need to fill a tank or prime the engine.
Ample Power
The HC40 and P1 augers both use fine-tuned, high-compression 40cc engines to give you tons of power when drilling. They can turn an 8" or 10" auger bit with ease even in thick, hard ice. All of this power is turned into efficient, smooth cutting.
5-Year Warranty
All Eskimo power augers are backed by an industry-leading 5-year warranty. Our world class, US-based customer service team is always just an email or phone call away from providing fast, honest and useful help.

The HC40 is a high compression workhorse that optimizes propane's clean burning efficiency to make one sweet ice auger. If you could ice fish in Texas, this would likely be the auger of choice for Hank Hill. The professional provider of propane (and propane accessories) would choose the HC40 because it runs quiet, burns clean, and excels at reopening old holes—a propane product even a stringent guy like Hank would be proud of. User questions & answers
Question: | Do you check oil with Augger standing or horizontal |
Answer: | It doesn't have a center spike like a boring bit, but you CAN get two holes to connect.if you're careful. |
Question: | How many holes can I drill on a one pound cylinder |
Answer: | No |
Question: | Is this 8” model the one with the on/off switch or the lever |
Answer: | I am not aware of an adapter. I believe the days of the screw in handles are gone due. I was tired of with dealing with rusty threads. I attached my new auger to a drill...works awesome. |
Question: | Is this the new version with the 5 year warranty? Or the old one with the 2 year warranty |
Answer: | Sounds to me like your bevel is off. If it was dropped or pounded it on the ice the bevel of the blade can change. This can also happen if you tried to sharpen it. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Received my auger today and the bolt for the blade into the motor is missing. Is there something I can use to replace it from local hardware store |
Answer: | I assume you mean the bolt connecting the power head to the actual auger. Yes, you should easily be able to replace that bolt......it just has to have the correct thread. It is suppose to come with a hex head bolt for an allen wrench. I also lost one , but now I have an extra one taped to the power head frame. The socket on the auger shaft is threaded on one side so find a bold that will match the thread, take it to a hardware store and find a matching thread the correct length. Any bolt would work but I think the Allen head bolts are hardened and would last longer. |
Question: | What is the oil capacity for the HC40Q |
Answer: | Its approx 3.8 oz. Fill until the bottom of the treads on the oil fill hole. |
Question: | What's it weigh |
Answer: | According to the Eskimo website the 10" weighs 33 lbs. It ships slightly heavier. |
Question: | Does this come with a blade protector |
Answer: | Yeah it comes with a black plastic cap with a rubber strap.. seriously buy this auger |
