Question: | Can you adjust the tention on this item to put the line on nice and tight |
Answer: | It does have rubber feet, but not suction cups |
Question: | Can you spool a baitcaster with a power handle |
Answer: | No stripper, but it does have a cutter attached. |
Question: | Does it come with spin spool holder |
Answer: | no. I added a counter to my pole when filling reel, but I didn't need it. eventually I realized I could mentally count how many turns of the reel handle were necessary to put on a specific yardage of line. for example, if I wanted to add 150 yards of line, and my reel added 30" per turn, I multiplied 150 x 6/5 to get 180 turns... be aware the spooling station is limited to smaller spools of line. I don't remember the exact limit of the width of spool. |
Question: | Is this reel suitable for salt-water angling |

Question: | Is grade 6 the same as 6 lb. test |
Answer: | Yes it's 6lb test just smaller diameter, but still very strong! |
Question: | is grade 12 12 pound test |
Answer: | Yes, the seller seems to not understand line very well, so the product title they created is confusing. This is "Sensation Pro Grade" line, it's on a spool, and it's 12# test, so the seller came up with what you see - not too swift. Also, unless their description has errors, they are selling a $10 retail spool of line for $51+. Think hard before ordering...... |
Question: | does tje color change how effective the line is with the fish. can they see it |
Answer: | Color doesn't matter. I fished with bright fluorescent green color for crappies & still get my limit. The most important is location & presention. |
Question: | what test pound should i use for saltwater bay fishing |
Answer: | Depends on the fish you are trying to catch. Smaller fish 15 lbs 20-30 lb test. Good luck. |

User questions & answers
Question: | diameter of 4# line |
Answer: | Yes it will . I have landed a 23 lb striper on 10lb Vanish Fluorocarbon. Strong line. |
Question: | Will this line @ 17lbs be able to handle 13-24lb salmon & steelhead |
Answer: | Yes. Lubing the knot prior to pulling it tight prevents friction that may damage the line. Highly recommended practice for mono and fluorocarbon line. |
Question: | Do you have to wet knots before pulling tight to avoid breaking |
Answer: | Leader goes on the end of any fishing line. This line would do well to add on 2-10 feet to your existing line. Not for pike or walleye type of fishing where a more structurally type of leader is needed. It's really just a basic fishing line that's a little better to add to a bigger inexpensive line if used as a leader. I'm buying to spool it all on though. |
Question: | What's the difference between fishing line and fishing leader of the same lb. test |
Answer: | If your using it in fresh water will last a long time. Salt water you must rinse it every time you use it, plus some lubricant. Any line must be kept out of the sun as much as possible. Watch your casting technique for a weight forward line against trout. I assume your using streamers. This manufacturer is as good as any. From a 68 year old fly caster. HDV |

Question: | What is the diameter (inches) of pound test |
Answer: | PACKAGING Quarter Spools LENGTH 235yd | 214m COLOR Clear BREAK STRENGTH 60lb | 27.2kg DIAMETER 0.030in | 0.76mm |
Question: | Two questions: 1) how much memory (i.e. birds nesting)?, 2) what color for Lake Michigan salmon fishing |
Answer: | All mono has some memory, I’ve never fished Lake Michigan. We troll for salmon in the Pacific Ocean, and main line can be spectra or any color mono. Leader should be clear or same color as water, usually a darker green |
Question: | will this line in 25 test be good for flipping in heavy cover for bass |
Answer: | 25 pound test will be great for flipping with a 200 or 300 size bait casting reel such as a Daiwa Tatula 200 or a Shimano Cardiff 300. A 100 size bait caster like a Daiwa Tatula 100 would have too narrow of a spool and you`d only be able to get about 30 yards of 25 pound line on a small reel like this. Also the line would not come off reel smoothly because 25 pound would be too course for a small 100 size bait caster. |
Question: | Does this stretch |
Answer: | Yes, all mono has stretch. Fluorocarbon has little to no stretch. Braid has no stretch. |
