9 best daiwa braided lines
Daiwa is a well-known brand in the fishing industry, and they produce a range of fishing lines, including braided lines. Here's what you should know about Daiwa braided lines:
Material and Construction: Daiwa braided lines are typically made from a high-strength, low-diameter material that consists of multiple strands woven or braided together. This construction provides exceptional strength for its size.
Strength and Sensitivity: One of the key advantages of braided lines is their high strength-to-diameter ratio. Daiwa's braided lines are known for their exceptional strength, which makes them suitable for targeting a variety of fish species, including larger game fish.
Low Stretch: Braided lines have minimal stretch compared to monofilament lines. This low stretch allows anglers to feel even the slightest nibble or bite, increasing sensitivity and improving hook-setting capabilities.
Abrasion Resistance: Daiwa often incorporates features in their braided lines to enhance abrasion resistance. This is important when fishing in areas with rocks, structure, or other potentially abrasive surfaces.
Color Options: Daiwa offers a range of colors for their braided lines, which can be useful for specific fishing conditions. Some anglers prefer high-visibility colors for tracking line movement, while others opt for more subtle or camouflaged options.
Diameter Options: Daiwa provides a variety of diameter options for their braided lines, allowing anglers to choose the right line thickness for their fishing style and target species.
Knot Strength: Daiwa's braided lines are designed to hold knots well, ensuring a secure connection between the line and hooks, lures, or other terminal tackle.
Specialized Lines: Daiwa may offer specialized braided lines designed for specific fishing techniques or conditions, such as deep-sea fishing or freshwater angling.
Backing Line: Braided lines are often used as backing line beneath a monofilament or fluorocarbon leader, providing added strength and capacity to fishing reels.
Daiwa's reputation for producing quality fishing gear extends to their braided lines. Anglers often choose Daiwa braided lines for their durability, strength, and sensitivity, all of which are essential attributes when pursuing various types of fish in diverse fishing environments. However, it's essential to match the line's specifications to your specific fishing needs and the type of fish you are targeting to ensure a successful and enjoyable fishing experience.

The ultimate new braid in the J-Braid family, Daiwa J-Braid Grand x8 is some of the strongest and most abrasion resistant 8-carrier braided fishing line ever put on the market. Yet, despite its durability, J-Braid Grand x8 is also extremely soft, supple, and easy-to-spool.
How is fishing line with such remarkable characteristics possible? J-Braid Grand x8 is spun with IZANAS, a new, state-of-the-art, high-modulus fiber that is leaps and bounds stronger than any other fiber material on the market. For example, according to Toyobo Industrial Materials (the maker of IZANAS), it's roughly four times stronger than polyester nylon (what most monofilament is made of), twice as strong as fluorocarbon, and is even stronger than aramid, a class of military- and aerospace-grade fibers that includes Kevlar (aka the stuff bulletproof vests are made of), among others. Available in 150 and 300 yard spools in test strengths ranging for 6 pound to 80 pound.
- 8 Carrier Izanas Braid-4 times more abrasion resistant than 4 carrier braids
- 150 yd Filler Spool
- Light gray and is visible in low light but blends into the water color spectrum.
- 10 lbs. test
- 0.006 diameter

User questions & answers
Question: | Jbraid 8 lb diameter is what actual lb strength |
Answer: | Holds about or up to 8lb of pulling power . 8lb braid is dental floss. You will be happier stepping up to 10-15lb mono trout / bass. Thin diameter so you can load up to reel of needed. 8lb is perfect for slab crappie / panfish / surfperch and such in my opinion |
Question: | How many yards in the 80lb test |
Answer: | The 300 meter spool contains about 328 yards of line regardless of what test strength is chosen. It's a great line, you will not be disappointed. |
Question: | I recently purchased 30lb j-braid x8 and on the package it specifies the diameter as (0.28mm) whereas on daiwa.com 30lb mentioned as 0.20mm! why |
Answer: | I've been purchasing 30lb J-Braid for a few years. It's the only main line I use on the ten baitcasters I own. So believe me when say it's always been .28mm diameter. . I use to spool up 30lb Daiwa Samurai. It's there better line. It is smaller at .25mm. You don't get better than Samurai so that being said are you sure you weren't looking at a different pound test? |
Question: | What is the diameter of 8LB Test |
Answer: | Can't remember |
